It seems like men's shorts have come down almost to the knees for the past 30 years or so. So this is a fairly retro style of shorts using a very modern fabric that stretches and moves well with you and feels great against the skin. This also means there are no (potentially inappropriate) gaps at the leg. They're not tight. They just fit well. They are comfortable and move well with you. If you wear underwear with them, you'll need either briefs or a fairly abbreviated boxer style. I wish there were two back pockets rather than just one, but these are very good, very comfortable shorts.

I search high and low for shorts that fir my strongman athlete of a husband- that means big butt and massive quads. He also has short legs and is picky about things stretching to allow him to squat in anything he wears. THESE ARE THE GOLDEN TICKET! The waste band is stretchy so they don't restrict him. Thr behind acrually fits ovwr his buns and stays up at his waste. The leg hole is big enough for his legs eithout cutting off circulation when he sits. They are short enough to look good on him and not drag below his knees. And there's not the weird pouch of excess fabric in the front that makes men with big legs look awkward. Seriously these are amazing. I've never heard him tell me something is perfectly comfortable. But he did with these! Considerations: the sizing is weird. He's generally a 2XL or size 42. We ordered 4XL and they fit perfectly. Also, they stretch with wear a bit. So at first try on they seemed uncomfortable. After an hour in them he said they were the most comfortable "nice" shorts he's ever worn. The waist was overall a bit big, but in an okay way, he can wear a belt easily with them.

Had to order a size up for these to fit my sons leg. They are a little big in the waist but the elastic keeps them comfortable. I was looking for some that were comparable to that other more pricey brand. These definitely have the same feel, length, but wash and dry much better. They have not shrunk and aren’t crazy wrinkled. They do not look like he has balloon legs. He is a 34 waist, 6’1, 210lb, with thicker legs. Needed a XL vs L for them to fit. Very pleased we finally found these!

Gents, these are a mighty fine pair of shorts. Very comfortable and stylish to boot. But, I warn you, if you have any kind’ve meat on your thighs, size up… a lot. I’m 5’10 210lbs with a 32 inch waist so I would’ve been a large. People suggested I sized up so I ordered an XL. The waist fit easy, but the legs hugged me tighter than an aunt that hasn’t seen me in 6 months. Throwing $40 around for shorts that don’t fit makes me queasy so I don’t know if I’ll try for a 2XL. Love the length and the feel, but my pant puppies don’t appreciate the constriction. I’m giving 5 stars for stretch because they definitely STRETCH.

I have several pairs of these and will continue to add different colors. I've been looking for 6" shorts for a couple of years since the big company I did get shorts from quit offering what I liked. I was not sure about the stretch fabric, but I like it. These fit me like a glove and when I bend down it's like wearing nothing, since the fabric stretches with no restriction. I loved to iron a crease into my old 100% cotton shorts, but with these I take them out of the dryer smooth them with my hand . I do not iron these. When you are standing they hang about 4 inches above the center of your knee cap, there short but not that short. My thighs are 25 inches at the top and when I sit the shorts ride up, but you can't see up the leg since my leg is pretty big. You are going to show a lot of leg when sitting. I got the XX size, my waist is 37-38. There are belt loops that give them a dresser look. I use a range type belt that is 1 3/16 wide and it fits perfect. The loop looks like it could take a 1 1/4 belt. The zipper is brass and works well. They are well stitched and are strong in the seams.

Short took forever and day to get to me. Look nothing like the picture and practically fell apart once I washed it. Many of the stitching is off, can see white fabric?! For the pockets, not sure why it’s not just all black. And not to mention that it’s not an elastic band waist. Don’t waste your money on them.
