I installed this mini split AC during winter time. It used the winter and summer now. The heat and cold air are good enough. New York this winter are very cold like 15-20 degrees produced good enough heat for the room. Summer time about 85-97 degree the cold air cools down fast. The machine is quiet don’t even hear noise. This is a low cost mini-split is not the easiest to install but very close to it. You will need to vacuum the lines for the best install, We only got the 10k btu unit because we have a small space that needed heating or a/c, but not consistently. Our unit is only 115v, which is great for a simple install. The lineset that comes with the lineset is only 10 ft, which doesn’t give you a lot of length but enough to get outside if you are on an exterior wall. Both the lineset and the electrical lines can be lengthened if needed. Just remember if you do, you will need to add R32 to the unit to make up for the extra line. After installing, this unit is working perfectly. We now have heat and air conditioning in a space that never had before, which minimal cost and work to get there. There is barely any noise added to this area, even with the outdoor unit right outside the wall, mounted to the wall to keep it high enough off the ground to not be affected by snow. We haven’t tested the a/c mode as much as heat due to the weather getting cooler but its been nice and warm in the space now, which we usually just had to deal with wearing more clothing not to freeze. ... show more

Due to the room renovation, a wall of the living room was knocked down, which made the living room area larger. However, there was only one air-conditioning outlet left. The temperature in the living room was much higher than that in the bedroom. I had to consider an additional mini split. it cools the room down in minutes and runs whisper quiet. I love that it also has heating for when winter comes, so it's useful year-round. Definitely recommend! ... show more

I’ve owned several air conditioners before, and most remotes beep loudly with every press. That loud beep is really annoying if you adjust settings after everyone’s asleep. This model’s remote makes zero noise when you change modes or tweak temperature. I can adjust it lying in bed without disturbing my partner. Works great in a three car garage that we closed in I was worried it wouldn’t be large enough and was expecting to buy another but this thing puts in work and gets the job done perfectly and don’t make any noise cools the room of fairly quick as well
