These shorts definitely increase heat during workouts, which is exactly what they’re designed for. I noticed more sweating within the first 10–15 minutes of activity compared to regular workout shorts. The waistband is adjustable and stays secure during movement. The material is thicker than standard athletic shorts, so it does retain heat more. However, because of that, they can feel a bit heavy if worn for long periods. These sauna shorts perform exceptionally well at the gym and offer surprising multi-sport utility. The silver-coated foil lining on the inside does an incredible job of trapping heat to ramp up sweat production, but it also makes the shorts highly effective at blocking out elements when training out in the rain or even taking a quick swim. The short-length cut offers plenty of mobility, the elastic drawstring holds the waist completely secure under load, and the deep utility pockets on the sides are highly practical for keeping track of your items. My only real critique is that the low-stretch thermal fabric makes a very noticeable, distinct rustling or "swishing" sound with every single step you take as you walk. If you require absolute silence during a workout, the loud crinkling noise might be a slight nuisance, but the shear durability and thermal performance make them an excellent value for shedding excess water weight. ... show more

I originally picked these up as workout sauna shorts, but I've found myself wearing them for more than just exercising. They've actually become one of my favorite pairs of shorts for hot summer days. They're lightweight, comfortable, and move well whether you're working out, walking around, or just trying to stay cool. During exercise, they do exactly what you'd expect from sauna shorts by helping you work up a sweat, but even outside the gym they're comfortable enough for everyday wear. The fit is nice, and they don't feel restrictive like some workout gear can. They're easy to move around in, and after wearing them a few times, I found myself reaching for them more often than I expected. The overall quality also impressed me. The material feels durable, the stitching looks well done, and they seem like they'll hold up to regular use. I got these sauna shorts in a size large and they fit well. I like that they have pockets, which makes them more practical for workouts. The sauna lining definitely holds in the heat and gets me sweating quickly. They are a good option when I want to add a little extra sweat to my workout.
