4.5 stars I have a great winter coat, wool blend with Sherpa lining. So warm, but bulky, heavy feel, and will absorb snow/rain like a sponge. Stays warm though. So I was skeptical when I received this coat as to warmth level, but was happy to discover it met the level of reviews I’d read. +. Lightweight and slim (not tight) fitting. I ordered L, and I’m 71, 5’9, 185 and moderately fit…no Cross Fit for me! The coat allows for layering nicely under it. In picture I’m wearing a runner’s quarter zip, a med weight fleece quarter zip under the coat. In 10-20degree weather kept me toasty warm walking and light activities w/o overheating or starting to sweat. Hood is removable for when I don’t want to look like Nanook of the North. Zipper not big YKK type but medium sized and easy to engage even with close fitting (nor bulky type) gloves. So far zipper has worked w/o any catches or issues. Water repellent exterior is going to be huge plus when snow, sleet, winter rains arrive as it should shed those short of downpour or spending long hours in it. Exterior also easy to wipe off to keep clean. For the price to me a great buy! —. Pockets unlined. Not huge issue but would be nice when not cold enough for gloves to poke your hands into fleece lined pockets. Comes vacuum packed and even after a few weeks there are still wrinkles in some area that haven’t come out. Another very minor issue. Lots of reflective name branding that I don’t care for…just Sharpied over all that. I’m not interested in being walking billboard for the company. Summary: for regular folks doing regular stuff (nor Duluth or Carhartt tough working coat) it is great and I recommend it. Time will test its ability to survive.

I was wanting a higher-end jacket for winter and looking at mainstream companies and a specific Swedish manufacturer, but all were around $350-$650 for what I wanted. We're running a bit tight financially right now, so almost as a joke, I ordered this jacket for myself so my wife didn't have to spend so much on me this year. I figured I would wait until next year for a warm jacket. TO my surprise, this jacket is great! I use it for walking and to go to work in 36-44 degree weather and in the fog. I stay TOASTY warm! The fit is right on, I am 6'2" and 225lbs and I ordered an XL, which looks like it fits me yet still gives me enough room to wear a thick hoodie under it. The only drawback is that is isn't very breathable, I actually started to sweat in it while working indoors, and had to take it off. It seems like it is durable, and I don't see any bad seems or anywhere were it might rip like in other reviews. It is extremally functional in that I can remove the hood when not using it and I can also layer it with warmer clothing when needed for extreme cold. The pockets are roomy and the zipper quality looks great, it is easily zippable, unlike the Swedish brand that I tried to zip when trying it on in the store. For ~$40, this jacket is literally one of the best purchases I have made on Amazon.

The coat is really well made- attractive outside and soft, warm lining on the inside. Nice amount of zippered pockets. I like the detachable hood as well. I got size small for my son who is 5 foot tall and 135lbs and it’s got room for a bulky sweatshirt or sweater still.
