I guess I've hit that age...the one where a watch being easy to read becomes one of the prime considerations in how often I wear it. You see, I'm farsighted....that's to say I can see distances without any vision correction, but need glasses for things up close...like watches, for example. And putting on reading glasses just to be able to tell time is kind of a bummer. But for the miserly sum of $10, that's no longer necessary. I own a lot of watches. At last count, I have 15 watches, in a a plethora of styles, sizes, and types. I own everything from inexpensive plebian watches like we see here to diving and adventure watches, and most everything in between. I even have one of "those" watches. I wear them all as the mood strikes. But for utilitarian usage, I need something I can easily read by just taking a quick glance. This one fits the bill perfectly. It doesn't hurt that this is a really nice looking watch. For those wondering, it's 40mm as measured by yours truly with a digital caliper. The case is a matte black plastic, and the white dial of this one contrasts nicely. The numerals are large and the graphics are crisp. The second hand has a little arrowhead on it.....neat touch. The date and time are easy to set and work in the conventional manner. The date window is a bit small and reading it DOES require me to don the cheater glasses. The band is silicone and is comfortable and should allow for 6.5-7.5" wrists. And it's quartz, so it will keep good time. I have noticed that there appears to be a thin strip of transparent protective plastic over the crystal, ostensibly put there to prevent scratches in transit. What I CAN'T find is a way to peel it off. It's not noticeable when looking directly at the watch, but at an angle the tiny bubbles in it are visible. I don't want to goof up the watch trying to get it off, so for now I will live with it. It will eventually get to me and I'll get brave enough to try to peel it off. All things considered, I think this is a great watch, especially for the price. How well it holds up remains to be seen, but if I get a 3 years out of it, I'll be happy. I have had inexpensive watches with plastic cases break right where the watch band pin goes in the case, essentially rendering the watch useless. The material on this one feels thicker than those, and hopefully this one doesn't suffer the same fate.....at least for a few years. I'd give it 4.5 stars if that were an option. ... show more

Meets expectations. Packaging is very good for this price range. Normally you expect this price range a cheap package but this came with a very nice classy box. Watch dial is very nice and easy to read.

I didn't have high expectations for this watch, based on the price. But something led me to take a chance. And I'm glad I did! Don't let the low price fool you. This is a very good everyday watch, as good as those that cost three or four times as much.
