I've had this desk mat for almost three years now, and it's still in near perfect condition. Overall, this deskmat is great; it feels comfortable on my hands, my mouse glides smoothly on it, and it spans across my keyboard and mouse, while also leaving enough room for my hands off the keyboard. I bought this brown desk mat and I really like it overall. The color is exactly what I was hoping for, an actual true brown. I’ve ordered other “brown” mats before and they showed up with a reddish/burgundy tone, but this one is the perfect brown and matches my setup so much better. It looks and feels nice, and the size is great. It fits my keyboard and mouse comfortably with plenty of room, and it makes my desk look more put together. The only downside is that it arrived in a box that caused the edges to be a little warped at first. Even with that, it’s still a really nice desk mat and I’m happy with it.

I previously purchased one of the "letherette" style desk pads of which there are many available here on Amazon. That first pad was the same length as this KTRIO pad but was a bit deeper (31.5" x 15.7" versus this mat at 31.5" x 11.8"). The PU leather mats are cheap for a reason: the edges are unfinished, any creases from shipping will never come out, and the edges may curl up slightly after time on the desktop. For a couple of extra dollars, this mat, while a bit smaller, is far superior from a quality and appearance perspective. This KTRIO mat's slimmer profile happens to work just fine with my 13.5" laptop. The micro-weave cloth surface has a far more premium look and feel when compared to PU leather and the mouse tracks exceptionally well on this surface (to be fair, tracking is very good on the PU leather surface as well). What differentiates this mat from the PU leather mats is quality. The edge stitching is robust, does not allow the edges to curl, and and gives the mat a premium look. The rubber underside keeps the mat firmly in place on the desktop. When you unpack it, you'll notice it has a nice weighty heft to it (the PU leather mats are lightweight which isn't a positive in this case). The mat arrives rolled up in its box so, to speed up the flattening out process, I rolled it back up but in the opposite direction (underside facing out) and put it back in its box for about an hour. Then I unrolled it on the desk and it was basically flat. There are no visible creases and, importantly, the gorgeous stitched edges stay perfectly flat on the desk surface. This mat is well worth the extra couple of dollars over the cost of any of the PU leather mats; it is far superior in terms of appearance, quality, and comfort (and no creases or curling!). If you use a wedge to incline your laptop as I do, the front edge of the laptop will be sitting against the cloth-weave surface which will not scratch or abrade the laptop underside. Over time, the PU leather will wear away at that front edge (just take a look at the plastic slide pads on the underside of your mouse to see the wear marks from a PU leather mat surface).

TL:DR at bottom: I purchased the XX-Large in black first back in March of 2021. There is a slight smell at first but nothing overpowering - if you're really sensitive to these kinds of chemical/rubber-esque smells, keep that in mind. Otherwise, packaged just fine and rolled out smoothly. There'll be a small 'bump' on the edge that was in the center of the roll but each of mine have leveled out over time [maybe a week or so?]. Functions as a mouse pad! Hard to say much more on that end other than that I've had zero tracking issues and I really like having my keyboard, mouse, and room for a few other things. It also is a bit of a statement piece as most people are used to the original style of mousepad. I purchased another not too long after the first so that when I want to clean one, I can immediately put down a clean one. I prefer to put these in the sink and use warm water with a mild soap [Dawn has worked great with no ill effects] then scrub with a wash cloth. Put it out to dry completely. It's worth mentioning that I myself have hands/skin that is rarely dried out [not to say sweaty but I definitely leave fingerprints on everything..] and I've been able to easily clean this mat every time. I take care not to use any aggressive scrubs and so far, I've got no fraying, discoloration, etc. after nearly two years with the first one. I bought a third to use at work as I've gotten so used to the size at home. I don't know at this point if you could find the exact same mat under another "company" for a cheaper price or not but I've had zero issues so far with this brand 3 times over nearly 2 years. TL:DR - XX-Large in Black: rubbery smell at first but that wears off quickly enough; small bump on one edge smooths out over time [maybe a week]; no tracking issues; cleans easy and hasn't frayed/discolored with gentle cleaning in 1.9 years; liked it enough I've bought 3 total [2 at home to interchange when cleaning one; 1 for use at work; can cycle all three as needed]

Mouse pad is working well. I am confident the pads on the bottom of my new gaming mouse are wearing out much more slowly than they would if I was using my bare mdf desktop. I spilled a bowl of soup on the mdf years ago, and it got a little rough, and is hard on any sort of pads set on top of it. Mice, keyboard feet, computer tower feet, etc. But this mouse pad desk mat is wonderful. Friction is just right, and mouse feels good. Keyboard stays put and all is well.
