This item was of really high quality and of high value for the price. I usually hate assembling any kind of furniture, but this thing was almost fun to assemble, and they really made it very difficult to screw up. Really, it just amounted to screwing together the four sides and attaching the six legs. Everything was solid but very lightweight. The screws and washers were nicely packaged and clearly separated and labeled, and they included this really handy ratcheting Allen wrench that made screwing in the bolts very easy. The legs and siderails kind of notch together. There were a couple of small fit issues with one the screw holes being slightly angled off level in a couple of the legs, but I was able to slightly angle them to get the screws to fit before tightening everything down, and everything kind of seemed to work itself out and bend into place in the end. Best of all, the wooden slats were all latticed together and required no screws - they just velcroed into place int to the bedframe side rails with a couple of wooden pins to align them into place, so installing those was very easy. There are two peel-off strips on the slats to prevent mattress movement. I put my rather heavy mattress on it and it doesn't move and the bed doesn't creak, bow or wobble at all. Really high quality for the money and and fairly easy assembly job, and the bed is rather unobtrisive and attractive with no sharp edges. I am so impressed by this bed frame! I ordered it for our lake house. A box spring/mattress has been on the floor for months and I just needed something temporarily. When I received the box I was quickly aware how heavy it was. As I started to unpack I realized this entire bed frame is solid wood - every piece, with a study metal support bar. It was so easy to set up, I did it by myself. All the holes lined up and every screw went in easily. It even came with a mini ratchet allen wrench. The support boards had velcro so they stay put. When it was all set up I couldn't believe how good it looked. So now I am ordering another one for the second bed in the room. You will not regret this purchase. The easiest bed I have assembled since my kid’s baby bed!! Thankfully we had no issues with alignment like a few reviewers mentioned. The pieces felt solid during assembly and the frame itself is very sturdy. No noise issues so far. We have had comfortable, quality sleep since getting this put together. It fits our new mattress perfectly (tip to those unaware, US king size beds are bigger than UK ones which is why we needed a new frame). Big bonus that the natural wood tone matches the natural wood of the headboard my husband built for me years ago. 🥰 Plenty of space underneath to add storage boxes if we choose. This bed is beautiful! Real wood and very sturdy. It was a breeze to put together. Took me under an hour. Unfortunately my zero gravity adjustable bed just would not work with the bed frame. I had to return … I would recommend this bed frame to anyone who wants beauty and ease packaged with sturdiness. Maybe they could add inside dimensions for people with the adjustable beds. Built it in under 20 minutes. It's extremely easy to assemble and not too heavy. For reference I'm under 5'4" and capable of casually lifting 50lbs, full time in the restaurant industry. I can carry and reposition this frame alone, over carpeted stairs, with some effort. The frame is simply better designed than the cheaper alternatives out there. All 4 corners of the frame assemble to sit on a shelf cut into the legs instead of only being attached to them. And each screw is reinforced with both a flat and split ring washer. Put it together right and this bed will not come apart unless you take it apart. Slats are very solid for this price point. Sleep quality is great. No fear of squeaking metal hinges or sagging mattress. I will be purchasing more of these for my family. ... show more
