I’m a side/back sleeper and I have issues with a frozen shoulder as well as degeneration in my neck vertebrae. I’ve tried many pillows but would still wake up with a stiff neck and sore shoulder and feel like I was awake half the night trying to get comfortable. I got this pillow a few days ago and I’ve slept better than I have in years! It’s the perfect height and firmness. I like that both ends are slightly higher so it’s perfect to lay on those spots when laying on my side and I can easily tuck my hand in the little crevices instead of sticking them underneath the pillow. When laying on my back there Is great support under my neck and a slight dentin the center which cradles your head. The fitness is perfect in my opinion - memory foam so it holds its shape and soft but not where you sink in it or so firm that it’s stiff. I didn’t notice a strong smell like some have mentioned and I’m typically pretty sensitive to chemicals or smells so I just let it air out for a day and washed the pillowcase before sleeping on it.     • Increase my neck pain, no return allowed

Saw the videos about this pillow, and you'd swear this came straight from heaven. Since I have neck pain and sleeping issues, I figured it would absolutely help me. Boy was I wrong. Out of the package, seems awesome.. soft and cool. So I used it for over a month. My neck pain increased, but initially I wasn't sure if it was just my body trying to adapt to the new pillow or an adverse affect because of it. Also, I regularly go to a chiropractor. So after that first month, I asked my chiropractor about what she had seen with my neck over the past month+. She did notice more tightness and asked if I had done anything that would have increased it. Only thing different was the pillow. I brought it in on my next visit, she looked at how my head and neck are postured and she noticed it was increasing the angle of my neck and undoubtedly causing my increased pain. I was a little disappointed because I had so much hope for this pillow. Within a couple of days, I looked into returning it. However, Amazon has a 30 day window, so I reached directly to Mellow. After several back and forth emails, I was up front with the timeframe of purchase, they said they will not honor a return. Not sure why they asked for my order number and also asked why I didn’t reach out sooner in a later email if they were just going to refer to a 30 day return. My take is that when you have something like this, and for how much they cost, there needs to be an extended trial period to truly know if it works for you or not.     • Best Pillow I found for Neck issues!

Oh MY, MY do I like this pillow. I have a neck condition 2.5 mm of anterolisthesis of C4 on C5 and 3 mm of anterolisthesis of C5 on C6. So my neck cervical alignment has slid forward due to aging and looking down for a lot of years, I am 73! I have tried at least 7 pillows and have been disapointed in every one of them. I saw the add for this Mellow CloudAlign Pillow and considered it for many weeks as I had just purchased another pillow, but was not happy with it. Well...When the Mellow CloudAlign arrived, I knew it was differnet from all the others. The first night was great, the second night was greater and every night since I started sleeping on it I am almost pain free. I find the comfort is perfect as it supports my neck. I am a side sleeper so the thickness cradles my neck just right and holds my face at just the correct height. I like the apperance of the pillow and the fluffiness is just right not hard at all! I also do neck and tie che exercise which strengthen my shoulder and neck muscles. I recomment the Mellow CloudAlign to anyone with neck and shoulder issues.. It's well worth trying. Sweet Dreams. I was seeking a new pillow after I started getting the “clicks” in my shoulders and waking up with a sore neck all the time. I didn’t experience the chemical smell when I first unpacked it, so it was nice to be able to use on night one. The pillow is so soft, and I was really worried it’d be to soft to do what it says it would. I committed myself to using it for 7 days before I decided to keep it or move on. The first few nights were rough and I was sore, but couldn’t figure out why. By day 4 I realized it was because my neck was being correctly positioned and not sinking in. I’m on day 8, and I’m not looking back. I no longer wake up with sore shoulders or a sore neck. For what it costs this is a steal. ... show more

I hadn’t had a good night’s sleep in a long time until I tried this pillow! I would recommend it to anyone who wants a pillow that feels soft and comfortable but still provides enough height and elevation I’ve owned softer pillows before and had to stack them at times, but I often struggled with post-nasal drip when sleeping on my back. This pillow’s elevated design has made a noticeable difference. I no longer seem to have that issue. I’m also a side sleeper, and it provides the height and support I need without feeling too firm. Many pillows I’ve tried have enough loft but are uncomfortably hard. This one strikes the right balance between softness and support. I just can’t get use to pillow. I am a plus size woman, 6’1 and over 200. I have problems with aligning my spine I think because of this. The pillow throws my neck off. The pillow is very nice, soft clean and silky. I’m still trying to make it work.

    • Great pillow, but let it air out first.

I have been using the pillow about a week now and feel it is a better option for my neck issues than the pillow I was using. My only complaint was that it did smell funny when I first opened it. I had washed the cover, so the smell was from the pillow itself. I left it air out for a whole day before I used it due to the smell. The good news is, the smell was faint enough after that to begin using the pillow and seems like it is pretty much gone now and definitely not enough of an issue that I would return the pillow. However, it is the reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5. The pillow otherwise is a good size, shape, height, and firmness to provide good neck alignment. I feel it has helped decrease some of the neck discomfort I have been having. I feel it is neither too squishy nor too firm. The first night I used it, I experimented with which side was better for me for side or back sleeping. Ideally, I would rotate the pillow back and forth between its taller and shorter side depending whether I am on my side or back. I prefer not to constantly be rotating my pillow, so I ended up going with the side that seemed to accommodate both side and back sleeping the best for me, and that seems to be going well. ... show more

This is my new favorite pillow! I wasn't sure what to expect--I am already used to sleeping with a similarly shaped pillow, which has been fantastic for alleviating neck aches vs. a traditional pillow. I was curious how this would compare. This has replaced that pillow primarily because my other, generic brand pillow is too firm, and it was pressing on my ear piercings (small, flat back earrings that I don't take out), sometimes so much that I was woken up from the discomfort. This pillow is just soft enough for me to have sufficient support, but it doesn't smash my ears! I'm super happy with it. I am a stomach sleeper. I thought at first this would be too low for me, but I got used to it quickly and fell asleep fast. The size is great for me. As with all foam pillows, there's a chemical smell at first, but not too bad. I washed the cover and slept on this pillow same day. I'm quite sensitive to smells, and the smell did not bother me. The cover is VERY soft, smooth, and cool. I really hope it holds up, I wash my pillowcases often. ... show more
