I assembled my own DIY king size mattress about 12 months ago, replacing a hand me down queen that we've had for 10+ years. I didn't have a frame so it's just been on the floor. Every time I would shop for a frame on Amazon, I would get overwhelmed by all the options. Those under $200 look like junk and the expensive ones were out of my price range. I finally stumbled across this one, and after approving it with my girlfriend, went ahead and pulled the trigger. I could not be happier, it's absolutely perfect for my needs. They recommend that 2 people assemble it, but it was easy enough to do by myself. Feels incredibly sturdy and I am not surprised. Last year, we gave away an extremely sturdy bed frame to someone who needed it after an injury, and finally the spare we had been using (not sturdy, made of press-board) broke. We wanted something approaching the rock-solid frame I'd had before to replace it (250lb+ guests had no problem or creaking), but decided to go for something with storage space. After extensive review-shopping, we went for this frame in the black, 12" version. Purely aesthetically, I preferred the look of the lower profile bed I had, but storage was more important here. Average assembly time-- had to look twice at the directions and backtrack, make sure you double-check! Overall, worth it, and this one is so far doing just as well (partner and I together are 310lbs), plus has room to store flat totes and small boxes. No creaking ever so far, and it's seen good, regular use for about 6 months. Imagine that this will last until it changes houses/hands in the future.

I bought this frame to go in our short-term rental after having the identical twin frames for several years. I wanted to get rid of the dated dust ruffle look. The taller version is almost as high as the box spring we had and it immediately updated the space. I love that it is so easy to clean underneath. It was extremely easy to put together...actually fun. The instructions were perfect. It is also very strong and the mattress seems secure on top.

Great bed, light weight, very sturdy, very quiet. I top 250 lbs so I took some extra care during assembly and used lock-tite on each screw. With a carpet underneath and some tape to keep it still this thing hasn't moved an inch nor has it squeaked or shaken apart. Highly recommended, would buy again.

I’m a relatively big person, and having this makes me feel better about doing things on my bed. Like I won’t break another bed frame. However, before you get the 9” one, check out the taller sizes because it’s just as easy to assemble and just as sturdy.

After spending way too long on a old box frame that clunked and rattled with every movement, I purchased this platform frame as it appeared to be one of the sturdiest on the market to go with a new mattress I bought. It comes in a big heavy box, and was packaged very well with foam to protect parts, it arrived without a hitch. Assembly is quite easy, only taking about 30 minutes. I did add a dozen 1x3 slats going perpendicular to the metal bars, the metal bars on this are just too thin and spaced too far apart for modern hybrid & foam type mattresses, the way it comes would actually void your mattresses warranty because of the wide spacing. Adds about $50, but well worth it for better support. Pro tip: because of it's sturdy construction you have metal base all the way around, watch the corners when you are walking around the bed barefoot because if you floss your toes on the bars, you will experience great agony as the solid metal construction is far more durable than your flimsy little toes. You only do that once or twice, and you will learn to be more careful. But it really is a great frame, at this price you aren't going to find anything more durable. My wife and I can now enjoy a good nights sleep, as well as perform sinful gymnastics on a bed that doesn't make a peep, nor make you question how much more abuse it will take until it collapses.

Couldn't be any easier to put together. Tip for those who struggle with assembly. Start all the screws where they go and wait until everything is started before going back and properly tightening. Very sturdy and comfortable enough. Makes my Tuft n Needle mattress slightly more firm. I may end up putting a topper under it just to soften it up a tiny bit.... We'll see.

I really love this bed. I am a heavier lady and I was worried I was gonna feel like I was breaking the bed. This is not the case! This bed took me some time to put together, may have been my fault for doing it at 1:00am. Ha! But yes, this bed is amazing!
