Last spring we purchased the Mellcom 26'x10'x6'6" greenhouse. We were impressed with the durability at first. During an early winter rain storm, parts of the greenhouse weakened and collapsed. We were upset as we had purchased a second greenhouse to add to it and it was rated for severe weather, which we didn't have. However, in dealing with Mellcom, we found that they were more than willing to correct this. With that said, we received a new greenhouse this past weekend. Being in Maine, we do need the strength and durability of a good greenhouse. The tarp is not thin and we liked that strength. For ourselves, we may add some extra help to the sides. But all in all, we are impressed with the timeframe in which they rectified this. For that we are grateful that our investment was not in vain. I will shop with them again if the need arises. :)

The media could not be loaded. Purchased March 2023 Seems to be worth the cost thus far. 6Months Cons -This one only has ONE door on the end. -Door and window ties didn't last long (disintegrated in a couple of months) -You will need to place a PVC pipe on the top of the frame to tighten and support the fabric so it doesn't puddle at the top. -Provided tie-down straps lose elasticity quickly -Could use a roof vent (we used the fabric to reduce insect damage during summer growth season) Pros - 26x10 is a good size -The frame is solid "enough" if you don't put too much strain on it. - Ripstop fabric is holding up so far (Fully Exposed 6 months in the Kentucky summer sun) - I purchased some 12-inch screw-down pegs and the greenhouse stayed secure and in place during some serious winds/storms. I purchased a similar greenhouse from another company with TWO doors (one on each end). That I will compare and share my experience over the winter.

I can't say enough about this gem! It was easy to put together and I keep it on our patio. I used a masonry block on each side to hold the foundation down since mine is sitting on a concrete patio and I can't use the tie downs. I live in the high desert so it's very windy and we have extreme cold temperatures. I wanted to save all my summer plants and this has been wonderful! It holds moisture and warmth very well and my plants are thriving, some are actually blooming! I love opening the flap door as the floral smell reminds me of a florist shop. I haven't had any issues with the frame, the cover, or the zipper opening. I try to take it easy when up-zipping and lift them both simultaneously to try and avoid some of the issues I read of other reviews, but so far I can't say enough good things, this is a great purchase, in fact my son bought one for his wife for Christmas! It's the best $80 bucks I've spent in a long time! Just one suggestion, you definitely will need at least 6 zip ties per shelf. They fit weird and not stable at all. I zip tied the front and back of each shelf and so far so good.

The product seemed to be very good at first. It was ordered on October 19, 2021 and assembly completed in mid-November. On November 19th I submitted a request for repair since two of the zipper pulls had broken. The supplier offered me $15.00 to have the zippers replaced myself. A similar zipper was about $26.00 and a better zipper was about $36.00. I would have to remover the cover and leave it with the repairer for at least two weeks and pay between $85.00 and $120.00 for the labor to repair. Within a month all 4 zipper pulls had broken and one zipper later broke into multiple pieces. The back section of the cover started to collect rain water and when a heavy rain came the are sagged and stretched. After several rains (I removed the water after each rain) the weight broke the cable that was the center support and the attachment device at the rear of the greenhouse. The supplier and I had been in regular communication during this entire process. The supplier said if I identified the damaged and defective they would send replacement. I sent the information requested on April 17, 2022. Since then we had a recent heavy storm and there is now a tear in the back section that collected water. Since the supplier is an independent seller and not associated with Amazon I am not eligible for help of any kind from Amazon. It appears I am stuck with a highly defective product and neither the seller or Amazon is will to help remedy the sell of a defective product. I have sent at least 15 messages to MELLCOM concerning the issues an have only received the run-around.

The pieces weren't numbered. Many of the pole holes did not line up. Thankfully I'm a contractor and know my way around power tools so I was able to drill and make necessary changes in order to make this thing work. It took about 5-6 hours with two people. For the average person with no tools I can see this being frustrating to put together. The metal itself is very flimsy and will require additional braces to keep it from collapsing or flying away. Alone I dont think it's worth the money. However, will additional modifications in place it was worth the money for me. I'm very excited to grow in it this year

I was impressed with the quality of the galvanized steel frame tubing. Everything fit without a problem, the instructions were all illustrations, not a word in any language to confuse you. I used general tools such as electric screwdrivers and sockets to build it. There are a hundred fasteners that need to be tightened. This is just a big "Erector Set" project. Occasionally, you will need an extra set of hands to help hold the frame pieces in place while you are putting it together. You will need to separately purchase several heavy-duty ground anchors to secure the frame to the ground. The 4 ground anchors and string that come with the kit are not adequate for any wind conditions. I have not yet used the vinyl cover that fits over the frame, but it looks to be very thick and should last a few seasons. I built this greenhouse in one day. Overall, the price was right, the quality of the greenhouse kit was high, and the Amazon Prime shipping was super fast.
