  • Worth the price.
Color: Pink Style: Cupcake
This kitchen toy is made really well. I appreciate how sturdy and balanced it is. I think it's the perfect size for 3 to 4 year olds.

  • Very impressive kitchen! Very impressive kitchen!
Color: Charcoal Style: Single
This adorable little kitchen is made from wood, which I love so much more than plastic. I love the modern look and that even when it’s the focal point of the living room, blocking the fireplace, it doesn’t look out of place or ruin a more adult looking aesthetic. I love that the picture of the fridge can be changed to my sons own artwork! Assembly was mostly amazing... I’ve never seen a toy that requires such extensive assembly come so beautifully organized. The wooden parts were all labeled, small plastic parts were in clear bags and labeled, and the screws etc were organized by size and part number in a cardboard holder. I was seriously blown away by how organized everything was when I opened the box. The instructions were really easy to follow and assembly was mostly easy... I did it all by myself, no husband required, in about three hours. The instructions specifically say DO NOT USE A POWER DRILL but I will say a sturdy screwdriver is a must. The cheap one I have for changing batteries in toys was not sufficient and I had to get a legit screwdriver to finish this thing. Honestly, I would recommend a power drill as long as you are careful/gentle and don’t drill the screws in too hard- that would split the wood and ruin it. The quality for the price is fantastic and all the little details were thought of. I like the little towel holder, the turn table in the microwave spins, the dials on the oven turn, as does the faucet and its handle. My son’s favorite part (and mine to) is the ice cube dispenser, which dispenses two adorable play ice cubes. He carries them around, so I wish there was a way to get extra cubes. My son loves his little kitchen and is very creative with it. Not only does he cook me delicious meals that are always light on calories, he has also repurposed the microwave and freezer as little stuffed cat beds. Really the possibilities are endless with this, but Melissa and Doug also includes a list of ideas to play with the kitchen in different ways. Let’s face it, this purchase was mostly for me but the kiddo loves it too, and so does our cat. I can’t wait to add on all the matching accessories! ... show more

  • The Best Play Kitchen !! The Best Play Kitchen !!
Color: Charcoal Style: Single
This play kitchen is amazing and super cute! My son got this play kitchen for his 4th birthday. He's going to be 7 in March and he still loves playing with this kitchen. He now shares his play kitchen with his 2y old sister. She has a blast playing and cooking in their kitchen. This play kitchen has so much room and can hold a lot of play food. I've glamed it up a bit by buying real LED motion sensor lights that turn on so my kids can see at night. Also added some fun stickers. Makes it so much more fun! I love the ice machine. With a simple push you have fake ice cubes that really fall out. The microwave can turn as well but you have to spin it on your own to make it turn with a knob underneat. You can really dress this kitchen up however you want. I use the top part of the kitchen witch I believe is the freezer as a little pantry. Then the fridge is used as a half freezer for their frozen treats and ice cream. Such a fun play kitchen. I have fun playing with my kids kitchen lol. The extra storage for the pots and pans was bought separately. I use to keep them in the oven. It goes super well with this kitchen and holds all their cooking accessories. This kitchen is wonderful all on its own. If your thinking about buying it just BUY IT! Your little one/ ones will love it. Can't remember how long it took my husband to put together but it was up in no time. I love this kitchen and my kids love it even more ! ... show more

  • Fun in the Kitchen
Color: Charcoal Style: Single
My children are obsessed with this kitchen. Easy to put together - the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. It did take about an hour to assemble so make sure you have the time. The kitchen is lightweight to move/carry with two people. It fits perfectly in our play area. There are no batteries or noise. Our favorite part is the 'ice maker'. The sink did come broken which was a bummer. The kitchen comes with NO ACCESSORIES - you have to purchase kitchen fillers separately. All in all, the kitchen is a great buy. ... show more

  • BEST QUALITY!
Color: Charcoal Style: Single
WOW! I am so happy I made this purchase. We have been in the market for toy kitchen for our daughter and finally decided to get Melissa and Doug during Prime Day (Best Deal this year for me!). I highly suggest to have a second person helping you out for the set up, saves you time and headache trying to sort out the small parts while assembling. Assembly instruction was pretty easy to follow and don't require any power tools. This toy is sturdy and solid. My daughter uses it on a daily basis and so far there are no signs of wear and tear or any doors loosening up even if she sometimes slams the fridge door lol! The fridge, freezer and oven has a lot of space to store food toys. Just a heads up, this does not come with any cooking ware toys or any of those food toys. There's a lot on amazon that you can choose from. Aesthetically this kitchen toy looks elegant, so I don't think it matters where you put it. I originally have it in our great room since my daughter spends most of her time there but I eventually moved it to her play room. This is an awesome product that you can get for your kids cause it will last for years! I also noticed that my daughter is more interested on helping us in the kitchen since we got this. I would say that is a big plus for me! I don't know why I waited for so long to get this cause it is worth getting even at its regular price! ... show more

  • Mostly good, but a few small problems in building.
Color: Charcoal Style: Single
Building went mostly smoothly, with 3 exceptions. On Step 6- Groovy, you are told to insert two shelves, G and G2. I am not sure if the instructions are wrong or my shelves were mislabeled, but they did not fit as pictured in the instructions. They fit great once I realized they needed to be reversed. On Step 7- Get Back and Step 8- Get to the Bottom of It, it was extremely hard to keep both shelves and both backs in the right places while putting on the bottom part, even with two adults. We eventually got it, but I have never had anything that finicky in all my building IKEA stuff. On Step 23- Easy to Handle, the picture instructions for both the fridge and freezer are just plain wrong. They are pictured the exact same as the microwave and oven doors, which open from right to left. The fridge and freezer open from left to right, so the handle and latch springs are in different places. It confused me quite a bit when no matter which way I turned it I could not make the doors in question match the pictures. I moved on and attached the microwave and oven doors and then figured out how the fridge and freezer handles must go to make sense. I was surprised at the amount of plastic on this, since Melissa and Doug usually use wood at all possible places. I am a little worried the plastic will not hold up as well as wood, as my daughter is very tough on toys. I really dislike the way the hinges are spring hinges, since it makes the microwave crooked. They might have more long-term usability though, I am not sure. Other than those things, seems really good so far! Lots of room for foods and pretend cooking them. It has a flat top that can be used as extra shelf space. It took me about 3 hours to build from start to finish. I had a little bit of other adult help on parts that I needed extra strong hands- the above mentioned step 7/8 and also attaching the shelf the microwave is on. Other than that just myself and my almost-3 year old fetching parts as I needed them. I will try to update after she uses it for a while to comment on how it holds up. ... show more

  • Great kitchenette Great kitchenette
Color: Pink Style: Cupcake
The picture attached is a M&D kitchenette I ordered 8 years ago. I ordered another M&D K because they are well made, but in pink. All my 11 grandchildren have enjoyed it to this day when they come over. I wanted my youngest 3yr granddaughter to have one at her house to play with her other 2 older sisters that have enjoyed the one I attached to this review. My son inlaw said it was not difficult to put together and they are also pleased with the quality of the kitchenette. ... show more

  • Cute little kitchen, very happy Cute little kitchen, very happy
Color: Charcoal Style: Single
This kitchen is very cute and pretty to look at. It's the perfect size for my 2, 4, and 6 year olds. It actually doesn't take up as much space as I thought it would, which was something preventing me from getting one for a long time. Once assembled, it is very sturdy. It's also surprisingly spacious inside the compartments. I do wish there were at least one or two more shelves inside the fridge because they're awkward sizes. The doors are easy enough for small children to open and close, as long as the handles are locked in. The instructions were easy to follow but there were a lot of them and A LOT of parts. If assembled correctly, the parts all fit nicely and easily together but some of the screws were tough to get screwed in. It did take a while to put together. Overall, we love it! ... show more
