Been shining cars since I was driving on my knees, and I have learned a lot when it comes to automotive finishes,, a lot of advancement in what paint can do and what it is not.. and the advancement in care products have advanced to keep up with demands and with added pollution in the air. Old school brands are still here because they have street credit.. There is a lot of new lookers and heart breaker junk out there from people I cannot even begin to say who and what they are or do.. but I value my finish on my rides and I love products that work, are easy to use, have someone you can call for advice and problems, and have your back on their products.. Meguiar's is one of these companies. The gold class changed all the rules when it drove into town a few years back and it has not slowed down, Who does not like a wax/protectant that goes on easy, and is easy to remove.. ? A wax that has emollients that keep your cars finish from drying out and fading..? Deep wet look? Its all here. I also like the fact that it is in a bottle instead of a can (For me its easier) for those who have two left hands and want to get into the da buffer polisher.. Or old schoolers that do the Pat Morita and wax on wax off al l by hand. The deep finish will repel water like little beads.. and slides right off... I will keep my bottle.. Buy you one and try it on your ride. A good damp sponge applicator pad, a section at a time.. some terry microfiber cloths and some good music and when its finished see yourself in the paint. ... show more

I'm so glad Meguiar's still offers this Gold Class spray wax. It's similar to their Ultimate Quik Wax, which is polymer-based, but Gold Class adds carnauba wax. Both are amazing in terms of ease-of-use (can be applied in the sun, don't stain plastic trim, easily wipes off without streaking). The downside of both is that they don't last as long as ceramic coatings and heavy-duty paste waxes (duh)... but this is a non-issue if you wash at least once a month and apply spray wax as you dry. Or better yet, apply it over a more durable base layer of wax. The key difference between Ultimate Quik Wax and Gold Class is the gloss. Both are very glossy. Ultimate Quik Wax has more of a shimmer and perhaps more reflection, but Gold Class gives more of a warm glow from the carnauba (which is rare to find in an easy spray wax). Gold Class also deepens/darkens the color nicely, which can look especially good on dark colored cars. I also think it visually fills in minor scratches better than Ultimate... which is already a step above most competitors. It is the closest thing I have found to a car glaze (which is specific to cosmetically improving the paint without adding wax protection)... but it adds real wax and doesn't stain plastic trim. It won't work miracles on trashed paint, but it's the best spray I've found so far for my black vehicle to keep it looking great in between major detail jobs (polishing, etc). Please do not discontinue this, Meguiars!!! So many spray waxes focus only on chemical resistance / durability (i.e. how many degreasers and chemicals can you throw at the waxed paint before it stops beading water) - and not how the paint actually looks. Sprays are so easy to use that I do not need crazy durability... but I definitely want it to look amazing. Using a spray wax during the towel drying process helps to prevent scratching the paint and should be used every wash. Some people use rinseless wash or other products for this lubrication, but I don't understand why you wouldn't want your drying aid to also improve the look of the paint and add protection (especially for daily driver cars that will inevitably get beat up more). ... show more
