Camera case fits perfectly on my Nikon D5600 and besides giving more protection to the camera, the dark brown gave it a retro look which I personally like. There is no restriction to the battery compartment. I have used several leather half-cases on 35mm film cameras, and always liked them. Part of the issue I have with this case has more to do with digital camera layouts than the case itself. There are so many buttons all over the camera that it’s difficult to cover much without interfering with its functionality. That said, what IS covered, isn’t covered well. One aspect of the Nikon D5600 that I particularly like is the deep right grip, and this case cuts that corner & effectively removes that nice, deep grip. Also, while the battery access flap is a good idea, it barely works. I probably won’t use this case other than in a few instances. That said, the included shoulder strap is wonderful. I like a slightly thinner strap than the stock Nikon straps, and this one is very nice looking as well. ... show more
