There’s no way this case is going to fit a full size DSLR, it was too small for my Canon 7D. It did however fit nicely my Pentax K200D, with Tammy 18-250mm zoom lens. Realistic dimensions for a camera that fits are 5”X3.5”X7”. A slightly wider or taller camera will fit, but not the bigger sized Canon cameras as stated in the description. Other than that it’s a nice quality case which compares favorably to those available from other sellers. It is also somewhat pricey for a basic case that it is.     • Exactly What I Hoped For--A Working Home For My Nikon D3300

I'm very happy with this little neoprene case for my Nikon D3300. It is a roomy fit and closes completely over the camera when fitted with my largest lens, a 55-200mm. I also use an eyecup-style eyepiece which projects beyond the rear surface of the camera. Again, the case flap closes over this as well. With a smaller lens, and with the standard flat eyepiece, there is some extra room under the flap which would allow the camera and lens to have the additional protection of a layer of bubble wrap or a microfiber cloth when packed in a carry-on or suitcase, or for little bits and pieces of gear when in use. The Velcro closure is generously sized and holds the case securely closed. I can't imagine a circumstance which would cause the case to open accidentally. There is a thick half-inch wide loop of nylon webbing well-stitched to the case for a carabiner (included) attachment to a backpack strap, belt loop, etc. There is also a little flat interior pocket which would easily hold an extra battery, memory card, and cleaning cloth or your ID, if you're just out with your camera. This case doesn't replace a padded camera case for protection, but it's perfect for preventing dings, scratches, etc. and allows me to set my camera down in places I ordinarily wouldn't due to dirt, dust, moisture, grime, rough surfaces. I just find it very handy protection. It's extremely lightweight, easy to stuff in a pocket, or hang from the carabiner while I'm taking pictures. This is the perfect design for popping into a purse or tote bag, adds no additional weight, and takes up only as much space as your camera and lens. Also, it is beautifully made, a simple design done well. I think the price is right--a good solid value. Finally, it's nice to have an inconspicuous simple case to carry over the shoulder that doesn't have Canon or Nikon emblazoned on every side. ... show more

This is exactly what I was seeking. I have a moderately heavy camera bag that goes with me on my vacations. It protects the camera and gear while travelling and on airplanes and the like. What I needed was a quick-shoot protective case that I could wear around my neck. This prodcut works great with the Nikon D3300 camera. If you want to carry your Nikon DSLR with you around your neck or shoulder to be ready for a quick shot this is the best one I have found. I also have a LowePro sling and that is a very good bag if you want a travel bag and have to have a couple of lenses with you. But it you are carrying your camera with one lens and want a lightweight cover up that protects it and gives you quick access get this one. I bought the LowePro small carry case TLZ 20 a month before I bought this one. The LowePro TLZ 20 is way bulkier and far less ready to instant use than this one. I am really delighted that I discovered camera case. It gives me much greater confidence when I am on day trips away from my hotel or cabin. It is a real stead for the price. Give it a try! We are currently on a six week travel adventure. I have the lowepro sling to carry all the camera gear related to the Nikon 5500, but this Mega Gear case is the one that is with me when we go out for the day with one lens. I needed this to replace one I stupidly managed to lose somewhere on the OBX. It is not as roomy as my old one to fit my Pentax K-3 with 18-300mm Sigma walkabout, but I can get it in. I can fit the whole thing then in to my ThinkTank case for primary storage. I like to have these when I'm out shooting for a bit of protection from bumps and bangs when the camera is around my neck. It hangs from the strap with virtually no weight when I'm snapping pics. The included snap clip is better than the clip on my old one as that was just a split plastic ring that was not as quick or easy to detach. This one lets me clip it fast to my belt loop or backpack if I am in serious mode with the camera. It is good for a bit of protection like setting the camera down etc, but don't count on it for severe duty. If you have a pricey DSLR, spend the $ and get a good, rugged case. I love my Think Tank Photo Digital Holster 20 V2.0. Again, this is just to provide some convenient light weight protection without bulk. ... show more

I wanted an inexpensive and very lightweight cover for when I'm just carrying my camera alone, separate from my regular camera bag with all my lenses/accessories. It's basically a triangular pouch with a flap. It fits (barely) my Nikon D5200 with the 18-105 zoom -- a 4-inch protrusion (including filter, lens cap, etc.) from the body. it will NOT fit with the 55-300 zoom. Prime lenses/any lens shorter than 4-inches should be just fine. As for functionality, it is minimal padding with minimal weight. Definitely more for protection against light bumps/scratches only (no drops!) While the outside neoprene is water repellent, the cover won't offer much water resistance due to gaps between the fold-over flap and the body of the cover. If this is what you want, great. If you want a camera case with more foam padding protection and custom/snug fit, this isn't it. Velcro closure works fine. Apparently I got a new design that has a small plastic carabiner that will hook onto the camera strap just so the cover doesn't completely fall away when removed. (Caution: Carabiner is strong enough to support the the couple of ounces that the cover weighs but certainly not strong enough to hold the camera's weight.) ... show more

Its advertised that it will fit a Canon 5D but that is not true, it will NOT fit a Canon 5D, I got a smaller Canon R6 and it barely fit, have to pull really hard to be able to close.
