This a great set for anyone into Pokemon. The different sets all click together to create a giant Pokemon world if you collect multiple sets and even include extra pieces to do so. Some of the Pokemon themselves are difficult to put together so keep that in mind for younger children. There are a lot of creative details and moveable/functional pieces that keep the sets interesting for children as well. My 10 year old son is an avid lego builder and he has a couple of the megablox pokemon sets- typically just characters though that are meant for display. This set looks cool when completed, but the megablox don't snap together as easily as Legos and the directions aren't laid out as clearly. So it's a great set, but I wish lego had the copyright for pokemon so the quality of blocks and directions was better. ... show more

My son and I recently put this set together. It is really cool. He found it pretty easy to put together. He is 7 years old. You can close the set together to make a square or leave one end open like the box shows. Cute gift for anyone pokemon fan.

Amazon has these on sale from time to time for really great prices. Nabbed 2 for my kids under $40. These blocks work perfect with the big block brand as well, if you were wondering. We have a lot of Mega sets, good stuff.
