The only thing I didnt like is that the bottles are smaller than usual nail polish bottles, but it is a large set for great price. The colors a vibrant and easy to use. The lamp works very well and like the extra decorations like the metal flakes.

I bought these because I'm learning how to do my own nails at home to save some money instead of going to the salon. I picked these up because the color selection was wide and varied, and the price was unbeatable. I've used these for a few manicures now, and they are the perfect purchase. They're pretty thick, but you get used it to after a few swatches. You probably could use some nail polish thinner if it really bothers you. The colors are deep and intense. They dry nicely under a UV LED Lamp, about 60-90s. It even came with a base coat, top coat and matt coat. The bottles ARE 5ml instead of the standard 15ml, but for the price ($10 USD) how could you complain? All this to say, these are perfect if you're beginner and just need somewhere to start or if you want to try out new colors without the commitment of a bigger bottle/more money spent. I literally just got home from work and my package was on the porch. I immediately opened it and did my nails! I’ve just recently started getting my nails done, always just gel polish… well I’ve noticed my nails becoming extremely thin and flimsy, as well as sensitive as if they’re too thin. I’m guessing it’s from having them buffed down at the salons. I researched and read reviews and decided to purchase this and give it a chance. It’s not about saving money at all, just about saving my nails. I usually have very nice, long-ish natural nails but they’ve become very brittle, like I said. BUT let me tell you, I am in LOVE with this whole kit. I will most likely continue doing my own nails even after they’ve grown back out. It was so easy, the instructions are clear, and the colors are so nice. I rushed through this set, but will take my time on the next one so they’re a bit neater. I’m not going to lie, I really didn’t have high hopes… but when I finished curing the last time with the top coat and felt how hard the polish was and that it was dry, I couldn’t believe it! Wow am I surprised when I received this box of goodness. For start the amount of colors you get in this gel nail kit and variety just stunned me. I have been getting my nails done at a nail salon and I felt like I just brought that salon into my house, It definitely takes me a lot longer to do your own nails but that's the fun of it. I have been enjoying exploring all the colors and all the addition nail gadgets that you can try and it has become therapeutic for me. so definitely try it out. This kit does not come with all you need to do gel nails. It is missing the foundation. First is the dehydrator, 2nd is the prep (can't remember exactly what it is called) and then the Foundation, You then put on your nail polish and lastly the top coat (which is not included in the 48 color nail set. The light is included and is good. It hardens my nails every time. The nail color is low quality. You must shake it every time you use it, I mean every time you put polish on your nails. It will separate. It also doesn't have a long staying power. Make sure to rough your nails before applying the dehydrator or it will just peel off. By the way I find peeling the gel color off my nails is much easier than soaking them in pure acetone. Not nail polish remover - pure acetone. Once you have work them for a couple of weeks and are ready to change, just find a loose edge on your nail and peel the color right off. ... show more

Pros: long lasting, true to color, good color variety, decent price. Cons: small bottles, extremely viscous - making it not really beginner or expert friendly, not self leveling, bad brushes. Overall, this product is just OK. The bad brushes in combination with the thickness & stickiness of the polish makes it really hard to get nice, even coverage. So far this polish has lasted 2.5 weeks which is more than I expected. This kit is probably best suited for someone who already has a great base/top coat set and has different brushes they can use. I'll continue to look for better base polishes but will keep these around for nail art the requires specific colors. ... show more
