  • Awesome set for the price - works well
Color: 0-Pastel Paradise
I typically buy Sensationail brand gel polishes since I have the Sensationail starter kit with LED light, however they are much more expensive (about $9 per bottle vs about $1 per bottle, granted these bottles are smaller but I don't mind) and I wanted to try a different brand to save money. PROS - * I got the Pastel Paradise set. I was pleasantly surprised to see the cute packacking and the awesome caddy the polishes come in. All the colors were labeled with a color sticker on top which is very convenient. * The bottles are the same size as the smaller Sensational polishes so I didn't think they were too small, especially for the price. They're barely more than $1 each ... * I got full coverage with 2 coats of color. With Sensationail I always have to do 3 coats. * Because the polish is so thick, it doesn't pull away at the tips of your nails and has a very evenly opaque application. * I was able to get a nice looking mani pedi by following the provided instructions. However, 2 steps I didn't see listed that I always follow are to wipe your nails with a lint free cloth and alcohol to clean them after buffing and shaping them, and then use a gel primer on each nail. So I added these steps. CONS - * The polish is so thick. It feels goopy, kind of like regular polish that is getting dried out. That makes it difficult to apply thin coats and also difficult to apply it neatly without going on your skin. Sensationail polish is much thinner and easier to apply. * The colors in the product description and the color on the top of the bottle do not match the actual color of the polish. As you can see from my photos, my nails are a slightly different color than the bottle. Also the colors in the description seem much brighter than in real life. However they are still very pretty shades. I just used this polish for the first time today so I can't speak to how long it lasts, however it seems very durable so far. Overall I really like this set and would recommend it. You cannot beat the price for so many beautiful colors. ----- UPDATE after 1 week of wear - the polish chipped much more easily than Sensational brand and I only got 1 week of use versus the 2 weeks I expect from a gel polish. I'm going to try again with a set of firmer, smaller tipped nail art brushes I bought for this purpose. I think the problem was the large brushes that come with these bottles do not allow you to get the corners and tips of the nails well enough & also don't allow you to apply a thin coat. I think this will be much more successful and will update again if I have any issues. ... show more

  • Hardiness FTW!
Color: 0-0-0-Pink Generation
I've used 2 colors so far since purchasing this kit and it is amazing! The colors are perfect and match the tops and what is displayed on the box. Additionally, they are hardy and stand up to wear and tear on your hands and mine lasted about 2 weeks before my under layer of dip powder cracked (no fault of this gel). The gel polish doesn't even scratch or leave bubbles, it goes on so clean! The nail polish individual colors are tiny though! So if you find a favorite out of the pack, maybe order a larger bottle. But what I've found with past gel polish is that they get sticky after multiple uses, so maybe they designed the bottle smaller to prevent that. Either way...10/10 recommended for anyone who wants to save money and do there own nails. These look salon quality ... show more

  • Love it!
Color: 0-0-0-0- Manhattan
I bought this product because regular nail polish chips on me. I’ve tried the dip powder sets on Amazon and those cracked on me after one day. I’m on day three and my nails still look great and freshly done! I’m excited to try the other colors in my set. The bottles are smaller sizes than normal but I’ve honestly never finished a full bottle of nail polish before, so I think these will be fine. ... show more

  • My nails suck these are awesome
Color: 0-B-Midnight Euphoria
So I'm grad school broke and have fast-growing nails that are thin-ish and love to split and chip at the ends if they get longer than a mm. I thought these were a different kind of gel - that I'd damage my nails like acrylics/gel/dips do and have to wait months for them to grow out. Nail polish just doesn't stay on my nails and a cute paint job will be gone the moment I shower, or in 2 days, whichever comes first. Enter this stuff. I LOVE IT - this brand is my fav. It takes some learning - you cant get amazing nails the first time with these. DO NOT do anything else before you have the final coat on. Pee first, have everything you need, don't go digging in anything or touch clothing/tissues, don't touch it even to check things - if you do thin layers and bake for 90 seconds it'll be dry. This stuff is sticky even when baked under a UV light and you'll be picking lint off if you do ANYTHING other than go from beginning to end in one sitting. The top coat is fine the moment its time under the UV light is done so you can go full speed when finished. My advice is definitely BUFF your nails lightly with a rough file to rough up the slick surface so it sticks for a long time- dont do so much you injure your nails. Warm up the base coat in your hands (or put it in a warm glass of water while you buff) so it goes on THIN. UV light for 60-90 seconds. For thin or broken nails (I even repaired a broken nail this way) put on a second THIN layer. UV for 90. THEN put on 2-3 layers of a color - each are sheer-ish don't worry it'll be solid by the next layer. This stuff doesn't dry until baked so every single time you apply a layer it gets 60 seconds under the light. 90 if its the tiny light. I do 3 layers of color. If I need a base under a sheer glitter one, I'll do 2 for a solid color the the sheer 1-2 on top. Keep an eye on it getting lumpy - if you put it too much in one area and thin in another there will be thick areas on your nails. Don't get it on your skin, it's a pain to get off later with a cuticle clipper - take advantage of it not drying and carefully wipe off anything on your skin before baking. This stuff will get HOT if you don't do thin layers - like BURNING hot (and you cant remove it). Keep it thin. If you do feel it getting hot remove immediately, let it cool then put it back in. Your top coat (1) will be the hottest of all of them so be ready for heat - usually because it's thicker than the others. If they're not hard as a rock, you didn't bake them long enough. 1-2 layers of THINNEST base, 2-4 layers of color (if you get creative there may be more), 1 layer of top. Mine stay perfect until they grow out so much they need to be changed. You CAN fill them in if you buff down the top coat but you're buying a giant kit like this why not remove them to try another color. ABOUT THAT - consider getting fingerless gloves to protect your skin from the UV light. Some people are sensitive and if you do this too often you might see signs of irritation or even aging after a year or so. I do this about every 3 weeks so it's not bad - and I pamper my skin after with 3 rounds of moisturizer and massages. I don't recommend this type of nail if you do it more than once every 2 weeks - it's not good for your skin. This stuff is meant to STAY on. If you like changing it up a lot, paint a natural nail in the gel polish then paint a regular nail polish type over the top - use a non-acetone remover like SOY POLISH REMOVER that will take off the polish but not mess with the gel nail. When removing the gel nail, I got a cheap electric file to buff it down quickly but you have to have a steady hand - if you don't want to deal with those things get a rough nail file and file down the top coat of all the nails then put on a remover. Some removers paint on, they're not great and have to be done like 4 times - you can get remover dip for gel nails so you can soak them off. There's also the 100% acetone method that you use with a cotton ball torn into 10 pieces and dipped in then applied to the nail with either foil or those clamp things to keep the air away - that sometimes requires 2 rounds - DONT PULL IT OFF - YOUR NAIL LAYERS WILL COME WITH IT. Watch a youtube video and educate yourself so your nail will come out squeaky clean and unharmed. Pamper your naked nails after removal AND after application - cuticle oil and moisturizer - treat your hands too they just went through light trauma. Good luck! ... show more

I LOVE this set! I'm a beginner and these serve me very well. The matte is so beautiful! I bought another one the next day, and they also came as described. Very easy application and came packaged well.

  • Love these vibrant colors!
Color: A-Multicolor Unicorn
I got fed up with paying $80-100 at nail salons every two weeks, so I bought a UV gel nail lamp and these awesome nail polishes. The colors are so cool! This is only my second time using them, but I already love them! Very easy to use and they dry so fast.
