This gel polish looks professionally done and lasts a while if you do it right. The colors are awesome and look bright. $40 is definitely worth the investment versus $50+ every time at the salon. Make sure you prep your nails by filing and using rubbing alcohil, use thin layers and don't over-cure it under the light. Especially with the base coat, it's good for it to be tacky, so 90s is enough unless you did a thicker layer. 100% worth the money. ... show more

I was really impressed with this kit. For a fraction of the cost of a manicure at the salon you got 32 different colors that are beautiful. There's a learning curve, of course but no huge issues my first time using. Make sure to follow the directions and you'll be fine. I cured 90 seconds every time using the UV light just to make sure that they were fully cured before doing the next step. I think that is crucial. Another tip is bill light handed near the cuticle bed when applying the nail polish. The liquid likes to pull up in the cuticle bed which can cause left of the nail polish later. Other than that I love the option of either Matte or glossy finish. For the price you can't beat it. This will be my go to from here on out. ... show more

I literally just got home from work and my package was on the porch. I immediately opened it and did my nails! I’ve just recently started getting my nails done, always just gel polish… well I’ve noticed my nails becoming extremely thin and flimsy, as well as sensitive as if they’re too thin. I’m guessing it’s from having them buffed down at the salons. I researched and read reviews and decided to purchase this and give it a chance. It’s not about saving money at all, just about saving my nails. I usually have very nice, long-ish natural nails but they’ve become very brittle, like I said. BUT let me tell you, I am in LOVE with this whole kit. I will most likely continue doing my own nails even after they’ve grown back out. It was so easy, the instructions are clear, and the colors are so nice. I rushed through this set, but will take my time on the next one so they’re a bit neater. I’m not going to lie, I really didn’t have high hopes… but when I finished curing the last time with the top coat and felt how hard the polish was and that it was dry, I couldn’t believe it! You really can’t beat the price for everything you get, so happy with my purchase! I can’t give an opinion on how long it’ll last, but I will update as soon as I find out! ... show more

In an attempt to save money, I bought this kit to try and do my own nails at home. In the past, this has never worked out for me. The uv usually never works, or the polish is not good. This kit is amazing. It came with the light, and a TON of colors to chose from and multiple base and top coats. The polish lasts me about a week! I type all day, and wash my hands constantly for work, also have 4 kids, 2 dogs. It made it through all of that. Great deal for the price and quality ... show more

It does come with a good variety in colors which is nice. The bottles are on the smaller side but not terrible. Some people mentioned it going on thick which I can see if you don't wipe your brush off well enough. I did not have issues with that personally. My biggest issue is with the the light and with how long the paint lasts on my nails. So It takes about 45 minutes to do one hand (from my pics attached, I did a little design but nothing crazy) the light definitely took way longer than 60-90 seconds. For just the base coat I had to put my hand under the light about 5-6 times (90 seconds) and even then sometimes its still tacky. (And thats with a thin coat on) then doing each coat of polish, drying then the design, drying, then the top coat and more drying...ya it was definitely more time consuming than I had thought. I recently switched to gel because I have kids, I thought this would allow me to do my nails quicker and Id not have to worry about messing them up because I always seem to have to touch something after I just painted my nails and they're still damp. Lol. This definitely didnt cut back on the time. But the colors do look nice once you actually get them dry! Butttttttt they only last ONE day! I expected them to last at least a week... But no. I did the pink and blue ones first the next day, not even a full 24 hours later my pointer nail peeled completely off. Then my more recent ones the purple I had for a day before the corner of my thumb chipped off. So that's disappointing for sure...all that time and they havnt even last two full days on my hands. Id say this is ok for a beginner or maybe a teen whos into nails. But other than that id probably spend a little more money next time and invest in better quality...it's alright. ... show more

So I’ve cracked the code on how to get a GREAT manicure with this extra set. First you wanna get a $10 amazon drill for your cuticles to look professionally manicured.. it’s worth it. So you’ll do you nails as the directions says but use the light twice as long, so I’ll click the 90sec button and do that twice for base coat, use 90sec for each layer of color, and do 90sec 3 times for the top coat to really seal it in. THEN.. I take my drill and get all of the imperfections I messed up on, then I buff my nails with a soft end of a file. Then I put another base coat (use light for 90sec x2), one layer of color (light for 90sec), and then one top coat - ONLY one layer of top coat or it will look funky - and put your nails under the light for 90sec x3. And you have a perfect manicure that lasts 3+ weeks. You’ll sometimes get chips but can easily file and fix. To take it off you’ll need 100% acetone, small bits of cotton balls and aluminum foil. You’ll file you nails really good and cover with soaked acetone piece of cotton ball 10min, then use something to scrape it off. And with my method you’ll need to do it twice to really get it all off. It’s time consuming but worth it and it will get easier and faster as you go! ... show more
