I purchased 4 different kits and out of all there were only 2 that have produced seedlings so far. From this kit none of the seeds germinated. I cold stratified and I have years of experience growing. I feel like these seeds had no life to share. One of the tools was broken when I opened the package, the head detached for the wood but since I had another kit that included the tools I didn't mind. Also one of the wooden handles had a piece of wood which would have been a splinter if I didn't catch it. I lined the box with parchment paper so the box wouldn't break down so quickly due moisture from the grow bags. I didn't really like the grow bags either. The other kits gave real pots, if you are going to sell plastic pots they a sturdy one is preferred. I would like to say this kit was worth it but so far it has been very disappointing. I am going to keep an eye out for another 2 months but it's already been 2. I requested the seed warranty and haven't heard anything back. I feel a little slighted by this, if many seeds take months to stratify and then another few months to germinate then we'll always be outside of the return window. If I was unable to care for them properly I would not have had success with any of the kits, which is not the case.

I'm no stranger to gardening, tho' I've never tried Bonsai. Only one seed germinated out of the entire kit. I followed the instructions on the seed packets exactly, letting them soak for as long as the packets said. Planted the seeds in the soil and pots provided. It has been a month since I planted them & only one seed, an acacia, germinated. No other instructions are included in the kit, and the tools provided are useless for bonsai. The seeds must have been really old for them not to germinate. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!
