The Mecpar wallpaper is good quality and the deals they offer from time to time is outstanding.I have used two colors both were darker colors and it turned out really well.It is sturdy, thick, and easy to work with. The coverage is very good.Not sure how the lighter colors would do but the dark green and the blue gray are not see through at all and true to color shown on the site.It does not tear easily if you need to reposition.Its easy to smooth as you apply with no bubbling.I just bought more colors to have on hand due to excellent deal offers for later use. I used for my counter tops earlier this year. It wasn’t really the texture I was looking for. It’s more rough than smooth. It’s not sand paper or anything but it’s not completely smooth so it was weird on my counter tops. I still used it cause I bought it so why not? The adhesive isn’t that great. I ended up using cheap clue to keep it on the counter tops. ( I don’t recommend) It’s good quality just not super sticky. ... show more

It adheres well and it looks nice, however, it’s quite thin. I use it as a backdrop for photographing jewelry, and it works well for this purpose. It’s easy to use, except it creases easily due to it being so thin. I wouldn’t use it to put on my walls. I think it would be good for lining shelves or something like that.     • Weird texture & see through over dark surfaces

I bought this to cover a black writing desk. The desk is a cheap pressed wood desk that had tape on it so the color to it is peeled off on some spots. First the texture of this is awful. It's not smooth at all, and even if it did work well to cover the desk it would not be comfortable to actually use the desk afterwards. The texture is familiar but I can't place it. Second, this contact paper is not thick at all. So it's not covering the black color of this desk. I'd need to cover this twice to achieve the actual color I wanted. I was originally going to rate this three stars but then as I started typing this up I went to remove the contact paper from the desk (it's been on there for <20 minutes) and figured I could include that in the review since using it is easy. However, upon removal it removed even more of the original color from the desk. Truthfully I would not recommend this to anyone for any project. Maybe it would work better on the wall but with what just happened to this desk I would never recommend trying it out. ... show more

I liked this contact paper when i first started using it. No bubbles or likes and if i messed up i could pull paper up and readjust without issue and paper easily stuck to table. Halfway through my project and i was at the end if the roll. I took a couple measurements and after doing the math i quickly realized there was only 72” on the roll. So now i have to order another roll to finish project tomorrow. It should have been 118” which would have completed my project.. ... show more

    • I use this for a completely different use then what it's intended for.
I buy this product to use as a backing for sewing patterns. I cut my paper patterns and I then stick them to this contact paper and re-cut out the pattern. It basically adds stability to the paper so I am able to use the pattern over and over again. Works great for what I use it for. I did have one issue with my latest purchase. I reordered the identical product and the product I received was a lighter gray and it was not textured. It also seems thinner. Thankfully since I didn't use it for it's intended purpose, it still worked for me and so I didn't return it. If I had purchased it to finish a project where I applied it to furniture or a wall, it would have definitely looked different and I would have needed to return the product for a refund. I would recommend when purchasing, to purchase more then what you think you will need for your project, so you are able to possibly receive it all from the same manufacturing lot. ... show more
