This kit absolutely assisted with smoothing the paper and getting the air bubbles out. The razor knife was extremely helpful cutting around a few pre-wired technology boxes that were not able to be removed. Don't even try placing the contact paper without a this or similar toolkit. The value of this kit comes from the X-acto knives, the flat blue plastic card with felt tip edge and the measuring tape. The knife is of great quality( comes with 10 xtra blades- please exchange blade for new one as soon as light pressure on paper does not cut the sheet). The red paper cutter is useless (does poor job at cutting smoothly). Would recommend. ... show more

I used this kit to put the silver foil contact paper smoothly on to my kitchen ceiling tiles and by using the tools in this kit I didn't need extra tools other than a glue that could be used in humid conditions such as my kitchen. The roller didn't need much pressure applied to use it to smooth out the added glue to the tiles and by using the smoothing out flat tool that got rid of any wrinkles in the foil prior to gluing down. The cutting tool was easy to use without having to lift up from where I was measuring the foil to fit the ceiling tile it cuts evenly the 1st time. ... show more
