A little difficult to assemble (wish we would have realize sooner that you need to make sure everything is facing the right way for how it will be situated in the room and that each bed has the correct sides for upper and lower placement since they weren't clearly labeled because once they are together it's a little difficult to pull them back apart, especially since you kind of need to bend the inner rungs a bit as you install them to have them fit - but be careful not to step on them once they are in or the frame during assembly because the are VERY pliable and not very solid on their own but are more durable once together). I was worried it wouldn't be very sturdy, and I still don't quite trust the maximum weight recommendations, but my two young granddaughters love it and certainly put it to the test. My teenage son also tested it out and liked it so my grandchildren will be able to use for years when they visit. We're happy. ... show more

Well, my kids love it. You’re def buying the “cheapest one” on Amazon but tbh I’m not mad at it. It does what it’s supposed to do, it’s not overly huge so it’s great for a smaller bedroom. It creaks, that’s something I didn’t see a review mention. I guess I should have expected that bc it’s full, thin metal, but that’s barely an issue as they’re loud anyways 😅 it didn’t take *too* long to set up and my fiancé did it all by himself in probably an hour and a half. overall, I like it. If you’re just looking for a cheap bunk bed for your babies and you don’t have a lot of money to spend (like me) this is perfect. (PAY ATTENTION to the holes in the bars EVERY single time before you screw them in. That’s how things can get wonky lol) ... show more

Arrived a week ago, much earlier than expected, so that's a plus. Finally got to assembling it today, literally 1 week later. Assembly was okay at best, definitely check for all bars to be in proper place first and don't tighten all books until end. About 60-90 minutes and 2 people would be best. It teeters so much, definitely needs an anchor. Husband's about 260lbs 6'6" and successfully laid on both top and bottom for about 5 minutes. Top bars bowed slightly, so we'll see - praying to God no problems but I'm seriously doubting the weight claims. I'll update this review, but right now at best a 3 because I'm skeptical. Also, the width is awkwardly wide for a twin size. Easily 3" wider than mattresses and pending on how your bottom bed is positioned to a wall the gap could easily double, lots of mattress sliding movement. The ladder bars are brutal on the feet. I intend to update this review once time has lapsed and with pictures. ... show more

It was a fun project for my 10 yr-old to put together with me. I am especially impressed with room between the two bunks! I can sit in there without hunching (though I am only 5"3"). The corner posts are one long post, I wanted a bed that we could make two later, however since it is one post I think that it is sturdier. The lower score for sturdiness is that I can not safely climb up on the top bunk...because the whole bed starts to tip....but I don't think grown-ups were the ideal candidate to be climbing up and down. ;) The bottom appears to have enough room for many storage bins, but I haven't got there personally yet to do that, but my girls love playing under it for now. LOL. Overall it is a great bed and it seems like it is going to hold up for a while! And I also love the color!!! ... show more

I recently purchased this bunk set to help complete the grandchildren's guest bedroom at our home. I have assembled bookshelves and dressers before and have come to expect some trouble during assembly. NOT THIS PRODUCT! The metal is very sturdy, well painted, and each piece was labeled by number which corresponded to the assembly booklet. The hardware pieces were sealed in plastic and clearly labeled by letter. The directions included very clear diagrams. The two required allen wrenches were also included as well as an anchor strap to attach it to the well in case you had chimps sleeping in the beds! This is absolutely the easiest and best "kit" I have ever built. I would highly recommend purchasing these bunks! ... show more
