I bought this dresser for my nursery, despite its having more negative reviews than I typically allow for a product purchase. I got exactly what I was looking for in this product. The amazon box that it came in was damaged, which gave me a bit of concern with some of the reviews noting damage to the unit upon arrival. So before starting any assembly I gave it a good once-over to be sure nothing was bent or chipped. Surprisingly enough, the product was in pristine condition. The assembly was straightforward and very simple. The parts are merely held together by Allen screws/bolts, with the necessary key provided. The entire unit is lightweight, making it easy for a pregnant woman like myself to move it anywhere. I doubt that it is strong enough to withstand a lot of toddler inflicted parkour, however. So, if you have a climber that weighs more than 30 pounds it may not be for you. That being said, it IS something I can trust will not hurt my children if they do choose to climb on it. The height is so low to the ground that I think it would be far-fetched for the unit to tip. On the off chance that this happens, I don't see it inflicting anything more than a good scare to the child, which I'm ok with. The drawers, while fabric, are exceptionally sturdy for the material. Some of the negative reviews had concerns about a "strong chemical odor" coming from them, but I'm just not smelling it, even with my pregnant nose. Returning to the matter of height: the unit is very low to the ground. I do not have a tape measure handy, but I can confidently say that it is less than 3' in height, approximately 4' (give or take a couple inches) in length, and maybe 14" deep. I've attached a picture of it next to my average-height 4-year-old for reference. As far as cost-worthiness goes, I think that's a personal preference. I'd probably have liked to pay closer to maybe $60 for the unit, but I'm also not willing to pay the astronomical prices for a larger piece of nursery furniture, which, if you've ever shopped for, you know you're not finding anything near $80 for a substantial piece. Personally, I'm ok with paying the $80 for what I'm receiving with the hope that it will last 2 years in my son's room, then I can move it to my closet or garage or something. By that point, the $80 cost will have been inconsequential. ... show more

I was searching for a while for a small and versatile dresser for my toddler's room. Figured I can use this as a dresser and then convert to storage bins for his toys when he's a bit older. Overall look is good and is just what I needed but the quality is just OK. Upon opening the box, there were 3 chipped sections. Packaging could've been improved if they placed some corner bumpers or double wrapped it somehow with cushion. The metal pics were bent and while it was easy to assemble, I had to REDO a few parts b/c it did not fit correctly and had to be reworked/forced in some way or another. It wasn't worth returning since I already assembled majority of it. I would not repurchase this or recommend it if you can find something else w/in your budget. This product is just OK. ... show more

I should have listened to review about odor. The chemicals on the fabric are toxic and not safe, much less for children. I bought this for my baby's room. The instructions say you should only wipe fabric with damp cloth. I have left these out for a month to air out and the smell is still so strong. I don't plan on breaking this down and returning. I am going to hand wash the drawers (with gloves and mask) to see if I can get some of it off. If i ruin them I may look at finding replacement drawers. I would not recommend buying this item. This is beyond some fumey smell that comes with some products. I won't let it near my baby. May use it for storage in the basement. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ITEM FOR CHILDREN! ... show more

    • Functional Practical but not Environmental Friendly

My wife brought this item for our sons room, it fit perfectly for the design she was going for. It looked good and was very practical but let’s get to the bad. The product has an oder that last now over 6 months and is still going strong. That Oder is Formaldehyde. My wife wasn’t to familiar with it but I was and hoped that the Oder would go away after some time but it never did. We have a mud room bench with those same drawers, that smells that same way but is not noticeable because it’s in a big open space. This product is not for your children’s room the Oder nauseates me all the time and gives me a slight headache, it’s giving my wife a headache as well in it’s early days, she didn’t understand it until I pointed out that she had been in his room for a while and left with the headache. But yes guys this product looks and operated well but comes at a huge health cost. I don’t usually write reviews but cheap toxic furniture is so the norm and should be exposed for what it is. Also again the edges are pretty sharp as well. So if you have an active toddler beware. ... show more

I got the pink polka dot version. It just arrived and I love it! Directions were very easy to follow, took about 10 minutes to put togther. It is sturdy enough - you can certainly place toys on top of it (heavier ones too). The drawers are well made and easy to pull out. In terms of stoage, I think I will still need a second one but I was able to fit many of my daughter’s clothes, even some blankets. For larger pieces such as jackets, I opted for a little hanger (also from Amazon). Overall, very happy with the purchase. Shipping was super fast and packaging was careful. ... show more

    • Easy Peezy to Build/Cute for a Nursery

Just received it today and built it myself being almost 37 weeks pregnant. Super easy with easy to follow instructions! No tools needed. Everything is in the box. Had no issues with regard to missing parts or damages, although I was hesitant to purchase due to some of the poor reviews. Glad I took a chance. This is not a large piece of furniture. In fact it is quite small not nearly reaching the window seal. This is a plus for us as we are using it for our nursery and the room is small. Don't want big furniture taking up the space.
