I have been using this produce for a couple of years and I works great. I think the slightly changed the formula of step one because it smells different, but haven’t noticed a difference in my skin.

I do think the ingredients in this two step kit are true to the bottle labeling. The step one facial cleanser contains 2% salicylic acid which is typical and widely available in less expensive products. The step two benzoyl peroxide cream is a 4.5% concentration which is significantly less than most acne creams which contain a 10% concentration. I think this kit can be effective, and I feel the ingredients are more effective than the Proactive kits. But I also feel a person can receive the same results using less expensive brands containing the same main ingredients.

Update: This product does help with acne. However, my son won't use it anymore because of the burning. He's sensitive to products, he has young fresh skin, and he can't handle this one. I think my only negative for this MD Complete acne 3 step kit is that they don't include step 3! That seems rather silly, especially since they mention it in the included pamphlet. Both my son and I use this, both of us suffer acne (adult acne royally sucks!). After only a few days I've noticed our red bumps diminishing in size and no new ones forming....that's so awesome! My skin doesn't feel dry, another huge plus. This is a product I'd repurchase, but they really should include the 3rd step.

Works well for my 17 year old. 👍🏽 Pricier than Pro-activ but seems to work better. Has all the acne fighters (sacilic acid and benzoyl peroxide) within the 3 formulas. Not just one or the other.

Cleanser works great without over drying. Breakout treatment really helps with breakouts. Cream absorbs really well without any residue.
