I decided to replace my TV stand with this combination furniture crate, and I'm glad I did. It's intended for my 15lb small dog (generous fit), but my 30lb medium dog (tight fit) also likes it. Measure carefully to ensure the right size for your wall and for the dog bed. Beware: it's a heavy box, and I unpacked it one piece at a time to bring it inside. One Ikea-savvy assembler can do it, but two people makes it easier since you have to flip/turn it while assembling. Took about 1.5 hours to complete. Lots of parts that are labeled well; ended up with lots of spares. Pro: sturdy, attractive, water resistant interior (I have a small water bowl inside that gets messy), relatively easy to assemble. Adjustable feet to level it. Reinforced shelves for plenty of storage weight. Con: front gates are not exactly lined up by design in order for one door to latch to the top and one to the bottom. This makes one gate a tighter fit at the top, and thus harder to close. Does not fit my flat screen TV on the top shelf without an extra filler due to the small clearance of my TV (top shelf has a 4" lip, which required to elevate my TV by another 2"). Dog beds are a tight fit inside, a pad would work better. ... show more

It's exactly what I needed! It doesn't look or feel cheap. The latches might struggle if you have a strong, mid-sized dog really throwing themselves at them for a while, but that could largely be mitigated if you get some longer screws. I like that the front doors have magnets to keep them closed while you don't have a dog in there. That way you aren't constantly messing with the latch. But advice: try to make sure they're pushed as far forward as you can. The screws on the magnets like to drag them back a little and can cause them to be un-aligned with the latch. Kennel is very spacious. In case anyone is curious, the gap between the shelves is approx 11". Overall, very sturdy and easy to put together. ... show more

It’s aesthetically pleasing to look at which I appreciate. It fits in great with my other furniture. However, I really need to call the manufacturer out on skimping on the hardware. What happened? You have what could be a great problem and then you go cheap on the hardware. I upgraded the hardware myself from the hardware store and everything is working great now. Aside from that the shelter is very nice. With that said, purchase with confidence. The lack of hardware quality is NOT a deal breaker. If not for that I’d give a five star review. ... show more
