I want to reiterate this chair is very comfortable, and the lift and massage functions are wonderful. If you're short, or don't plan to sleep in it, its a WONDERFUL chair, and customer service is amazing. This chair is comfortable, but SHORT. I am 5'5" and my feet hang over the footrest by at least 4 inches. Its fine for viewing TV or reading, but I purchased this chair for sleeping in after shoulder surgery. The lift and massage functions are great. It lifts you almost to standing position, and lays you nearly flat, with a lot of comfortable spots between. The massage is vibration at the feet, calves, lumbar and upper back, and very nice. The heat function is not great so don't purchase it for heat. Overall, its a nice looking chair with great functions, but its toooo short for anyone over 5'1". ... show more

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised at how comfortable and nice looking the faux leather is. My husband found it fairly easy to put together. The controls work easily - the only thing I would like is the heat element would be a bit warmer. The cup holders are a nice touch. You could use these to place your controls so they are a bit easier to reach. And when you get up, you can place them in the side pockets. This is a medium sized chair. If you are heavy or tall, you should probably go up yo a large size. ... show more

The chair was fairly easy to put together. One person could do it but two is easier. All the pieces arrived. Maybe label the wiring pieces (A,B,C...) and correlate that to the wiring diagram. But otherwise all good so far. We will see how it holds up the next few months. Also, not a critique of the product but for future/alternate design - find a way to fold the chair back without requiring so much clearance from the back wall. As it works now, the chair needs to be about 15" from a back wall for the reclining head rest area. But if the chair could slide forward as it reclines it would not need so much back clearance space. ... show more

Chair is comfortable, quiet and a great help. Problem is if you should drop the raise/lower control while in the reclined position -- Then how do you get out of the chair?? Happened to me just last night: I fell asleep in it and found the raise/lower control had dropped to the floor sometime in the night. This was a MAJOR problem for a claustrophobic disabled man living alone. I got out by first using my phone to take a picture (to locate the control) then I grabbed it with my reacher grabber. Without those two tools I would have had to call 911. Putting the control into the side pocket of the chair doesn't work since all you have to do is fumble and drop it (remember we end users are disabled and/elderly people). Currently I have taped the control wire to the side of the chair where I can find it even if the control itself should drop. Although that sort of solves the problem I have to ask: Manufacturer: Is there some sort of emergency button/switch/movement that would have gotten me out of that situation? UPDATE The manufacturer quickly stepped up to resolve this issue by offering me a rebate and indicted that they are directly working on the chair redesign. What more could you ask? ... show more
