Once roasted, the beans are freshly ground and packaged in bags designed to keep air out and freshness in. For a delicious McCafe at home taste, use one to two tablespoons of ground coffee for every six ounces of water. To keep the good going, we use only 100 percent Responsibly Sourced coffee. Pros: Mild flavor, doesn't upset my stomach Cons: Lack of flavor, lack of quality aroma My overall opinion is, this is meh. I'm replacing it stat with another product. To explain, McCafe Light has been my daily grind for over 6 years. Until now, that is. We used up the canisters I bought in 2020 this past Summer (yes, I'd stocked up on this and one other brand, enough to last that long). I expected the older coffee to lose it's flavor over time. It remained a good product, and had such an excellent aroma, taste, smooth flavor, low acid. I get some higher end product for occasional drinking (not my daily, but more for serving guests). It costs a lot more. So, I lack any real desire to use it as a daily coffee product. So, I ordered a canister of McCafe Light, expecting it's usual quality, aroma, and taste. I'm highly disappointed. To the point, I won't buy it again. Since the difference is comparing it to a canister of the same product that's 3 yrs old, McCafe Light 30 oz, same as this one, I feel confident they have lowered their standards for the beans they are using in the last 3 years. To be sure, I served it to others who had enjoyed my last cannister with me, as well, and they had the same feeling. Whatever beans were used for this batch are a far cry lower standard than the ones used in my canisters from 2020. So, with that, I bid adieu to McCafe Light as my daily grind. Time to find another product to replace it. I have gone through this same change when Folgers lowered it's standards (that lead to finding the McCafe Light in the first place). ... show more

Both of us are very particular about our coffee. We freshly grind regular beans which we order from Philz Coffee in California. When my husband had to cut back on caffeine due to acid reflux we tried many brands of decaf. McCafe Medium Roast Decaf is by far the best. Sometimes it has been hard to find where we regularly shop. Everybody has different tastes when it comes to coffee so giving an opinion on how it tastes may not be useful. But here it goes… overall this is a nice medium blend coffee. Not heavy like a Starbucks French roast. I had some flavored coffee recently and there was an aftertaste that lasted quite a while. Mc Cafe has a cleaner taste that doesn’t linger. The package came quick, wasn’t damaged and the coffee was fresh. If you’ve enjoyed mc donalds coffee in the past, you’ll like this. I add Herseys cocoa powder for some added flavor and I think it definitely helps. The can it comes in is pretty big so it’s a good value and should last a long time (depending on how much you drink)! If you plan on drinking this over a long period of time it might be helpful to freeze it to maintain its freshness. According to MC Donald’s website their beans are 100% Rainforest Alliance Coffee Beans from Honduras, Columbia, Peru and Brazil. ... show more
