Works for both the 5100 and 2730
This MBA-2 works great! Icom markets the MBA-2 for the IC-5100 and the MBA-5 for the IC-2730. They are both one in the same. The only difference is price. I purchased this MBA-2 for my IC-2730 and paid about half of what I would have paid for the MBA-5 and it fits perfect. Come on Icom, stop selling the same item under different product names for different radios and charging different prices for each. Even though they are the same part. If you own an IC-2730 and are looking for the magnetic mount, shop around for the best price on either the MBA-2 or the MBA-5. This MBA-2 works great on my IC-2730 even though it is marketed for the IC-5100 only. This part works perfectly!

Perfect For Icom IC-2730
I used this to mount my Icom IC-2730 in my car and it works perfectly with the CD adapter to attach to my radio. Easy to get and a better price. Win win

True MBA-2 and Ram AMPS plate compatible
Factory box. Fits the Ram mount 4-hole pattern AMPS plate (use your own hardware). If not obvious, use the scalloped side so the magnets rest inside the scallop and cannot slide.

Great! Works the same as MBA-5, for 2730. & 5100. Buy this instead of $51 one. Fits 2730a just fine. Dear Icom, please quit ripping us off. -Thanks customer on the fence

Works, convenient; AMPS bolt pattern
Works as it should. Verified its an AMPS bolt pattern for use with Bulletpoint solutions 20mm mounting ball. Had to slightly ream the holes to fit the bolts for the mount.
