  • Why did I wait so long!
Style: Standard Cover Slat Size: Queen
For years, my wife and I have had a super thick (and comfy) mattress with a 9" thick foundation. It was OK for a long time, but when I had multiple major surgeries on my leg, the height made getting in and out of bed difficult. we talked about other options and decided that we wanted to try this product. With Amazon's no hassle return policy, we decided to go ahead and try it. It was a breeze to install, even for us 70+ year-olds. It was wrapped in plastic and held tight with bands. Once we cut the bands and removed the plastic, all we had to do was lay it on the horizontal slats and spread it out. Having read previous reviews about this sliding while replacing the mattress, we simply put a couple staples in along the edge and the rest was simple. I can get in and out of bed with ease and slept like a baby the very first night. I highly recommend this foundation. ... show more

  • Not For Ikea Beds
During the pandemic, I got rid of my metal box spring bed and chose a wooden bed frame with a memory foam mattress instead. Unfortunately, I didn't order slats with my new Ikea bed frame so I searched for something to match. These slats are too long for the twin bed frame that I have so they stick outside of the frame at the bottom and at the top. Because of that, they aren't very sturdy either. Some will fall into the bed frame while others won't. One night ALL of the slats but one fell through the bed frame and I almost hit the floor. Wouldn't recommend for Ikea single beds at all. ... show more

  • is it worth it Queen Size
Style: Heavy Duty Slat Size: Queen
Pro's - it fits the bed frame I was delivered to address Con's - very green pine boards material holding pine boards together is very flimsy answer the pine boards are not sound at all they are rough from where they are cut because the timber is still very the turpin emission is high ( it's not a pleasant fresh pine trees scent it is an overwhelming pine tree scent from fresh green cut boards) . The weight was more than 38 lb I would say it was closer to 50 lb and this based on moving another 50 lb package to yesterday. Had I seen this in person at the store I would not have had purchased it for $100 - but considering the weight of the object and the idea of trying to put it back in the box and getting it returned to Amazon - I have elected to use it . Fortunately I still had a moving pad from U-Haul which I laid down over the top of it to avoid the turpins from getting into the mattress which would also be another Con on the list it is green ( hasn't been properly kiln dried) enough to stain the bedding and mattress. ... show more

  • No assembly required; replaced old box springs
I ordered the queen size to replace box springs for the bed. I have a 14you dog who is no longer able to jump on to the bed. This worked great! For those wondering, I put this on a metal/steel frame bed. This product seems to hold the bed well and feels sturdy, even with me and my 99lb golden retriever on the bed (I'm 180lbs). The slats fit the frame end to end, the slats are oriendted vertically. They have not shifted once the mattress (with its weight) was placed on top. All in all I think this was a smart purchase. And I'm happy the dog can get up the bed again due to the lower height of the bed! ... show more

  • Solid
I liked finding these slats that ran from the headboard to the footboard instead of across the bed frame. They are the only ones I found like that. They are plenty thick enough to support any mattress. You will want to have a brace or support at the midpoint. I measured, but these did leave a large gap at each end, so double check your length. I suggest putting some antislip material under where the slat ends rest because these shifted every time we layed down. ... show more

  • Stronger than what It appears
Over all this is great and balancing the mattress. Stronger one with good quality bars. Since it can not stick to bed base, needs to be bit careful while placing the mattress on it as it moves away freely. But no issues once the mattress is placed

  • Wish I would have bought sooner!
Style: Heavy Duty Cover Slat Size: Queen
I bought a bed frame recently that did not require a box spring. However, the frame itself did not provide enough support for the mattress. After a month of fitful sleep, back and hip pain… I order this product. Received it yesterday and got it under the mattress before bed last night. Man! What a HUGE difference it made! Got my first night of restful sleep! Thank you!! ... show more

  • Doesn’t fit in certain frames
Style: Standard Cover Slat Size: Twin
I like this to a point. I like that it’s vertical to add more support to my existing horizontal spats but it doesn’t lay well in my frame. Make sure to check your bed frame dimensions. It ends up being crooked because of the size. It’s fine and does the job but it’s slightly too long and too narrow for my frame. The corners of my frame get in the way. ... show more
