(Update: It has been 2 years plus since my purchase and this adapter is still working perfectly. In that time I have tried even brands and still haven't found any that are as good and reliable as this one. I have now purchased three more of these and the new ones work just as good as the original. Each of my kids are now using one to play the modded Wii's I got them and even they are impressed by the picture quality and apparent lack of lag. Imo this is still the one and only HDMI adapter for the Wii to get.) I have tried Sewell, portholic, musou, generic white one and a generic black one. I also tried a generic white one sold and shipped here. The sold and shipped one was doa and all the others had issues. They all suffered from the diagonal lines that moved across the screen to some extent. If I remember correctly the sewell seemed to have the faintest lines which could possibly be ignored and in some games be unnoticeable but it had the lines. All the others had the lines and it was noticeable at almost all times. Dark reds and blues really made the lines obvious. This mayflash one was actually the one I considered before trying any of the others but the small size had me worried they skimped on some of the components but its performance seems to say otherwise. For starters all the other ones feel like they are 3d printed but this mayflash one feels like the normal plastic you expect to feel. I imagine it is nothing more than abs plastic but it feels more sturdy and better built. The smaller size makes it look much better plugged in to the wii. The picture quality is impressive. It is the first one to look every bit as good as my component cables. If anything my tv makes it look better. I guess my tv upscales hdmi better than component signals. There is no noticeable lag increase that I can tell either. To be fare I didn't notice much with the others but this seems just a touch quicker, except when compared to the sewell witch seemed to be the same with lag. I also noticed this Mayflash adapter doesn't get as warm as the others. All of the other ones got very warm and after a couple hours was hot to the touch. This mayflash one gets warm but never anywhere near what I would consider hot. I even left this one on all night to see how it copes since I have had bad like with all the other adapters but by morning the temp was exactly the same as when I went to bed and the picture was still perfect. To summarize this is the one and only wii to hdmi adapter to consider. I have yet to see anyone who owns one mention anything about diagonal lines like the ones that all other adapters suffer from or mention anything about this model dying. Skip all others and buy this one. If for some crazy reason you have an issue then try another one but save yourself the hassle and start here. I am blown away by the picture quality and didn't expect a 408p image to look so good on a 4k tv.

Got this for my brother he loves to use it for the Wii and now we have many games. Though with it but he says that it works as it’s supposed to the Durability seemed good when it was delivered it’s very small and easy to attach, everything seems to be Functional as well.

This allows me to use HDMI with my Wii. No more old AV. Easy to use. Just remember to set 480p in the Wii settings. If you use Priiloader or USBLoaderGX, remember to set those up with 480p and remove the deflicker. If you don’t know what any of that is, then don’t worry about it. Your Wii will work fine with this. The included 3.5mm port seems good. I haven’t had to use it yet but I will probably at one point or another. Video quality and overall motion clarity are better compared to 480i from AV. With deflicker disabled, it looks even better.

Works well with Wii to provide a nice picture and no lag. (Set Wii settings to widescreen and 480p). Cheaper Wii to HDMI adapters had serious lag had made games unplayable.

DONT FORGET TO TURN on Widescreen plus EDTV in the wii video settings also at start of each gamecube game that will give you the full 480x720p resolution bass dose seem too loud not sure if its my TV or the device but a dongle would be stronger incase wii fell or something but this adapter uses pass threw which is what I wanted. I don't understand why it states 1080p in description must me translation error since it dose work on any 1080p TV. im REALLY HAPPY with it any retro gamer knows you don't want upscaling you want integer line doubling which my OLED already dose. Thank the gods this adapter is not a composite to HDMI the description kinda worried me I compared gladius on GC vs xbox both looked same shocking since xbox is so much powerfuller. its shocking how well component to HDMI adapters can look I didn't want to spend 260 bucks on a digital gamecube cables so I went with a Wii plus this adapter. I'm really happy with money I saved. I know for fact no body could tell difference without a magnified glass if they comparing mayflash Wii to a digital gamecube. Kaico and Mayflash are the only HDMI adapters worth their salt... if it was not for the bass bottoming out It would be six stars lol !

Works great, no connection issues, no noticeable input lag, colors are not always perfect but that’s just gonna happen if you don’t spend a lot on analogue to digital. Can’t really speak for the 3.5mm jack as I don’t use it

Easy to hook up, plug into wii, attach hdmi from it to tv wow! Worked great. Died after one hour of play. Checked all connections, let it "cool down" but get only an hour? Never worked again. Returning as faulty
