I'm satisfied with how long it lasted for the price, and speaking of, it's actually less expensive today than when I bought it in '21 (wish I could say that about fuel prices!). Installation was easy and it fit our bowl just right. The finalé was that the seat broke at one of the hinges where it folds. I was cleaning and it just came apart. It did what it was supposed to do in last the 2+years, faithfully slow closing to prevent my brain from rattling after my son did his whizbiz. But the white finish was starting to rub off and more grossly, a moisture stain was growing at the inner front edge because my toddler nephew was trained at his house to do his whizbiz sitting (which is totally fine btw). I'm gonna leave pics, don't look if you can't handle the truth. 😆Just saw that there's a plastic version, same brand, for a buck more so I think we'll go that route this time. Hopefully I won't be back for at least a couple more years to write the next review. ... show more

Unfortunately, there was small issue with the toilet seat and I contacted the company/manufacturers at the phone number provided. They were awesome. They didn't try to dodge the issue but worked very closely with me in contacting Amazon and resolve the issue. AMAZON, as usual was amazing. VERY quick and apologetic that there was a manufacturing issue, and the case was resolved. The seat itself was sturdy and would have done everything it promised but for a small issue during assembly which made the smooth operation not possible. Sometimes there are problems with products, but when the manufacturer and the seller both work to resolve and NOT suggest that the customer has done something wrong..you have to love that! Thank You AMAZON and thank you Bemis...buy with confidence, you can't go wrong, great product great customer service! ... show more

I really like the toilet seats. Well build and solid feel. I bought two of them and they each had a defect as shown in this picture. It certainly seems like it is due to no padding against that painted edge from slamming into the box during shipping. I am not returning them but will find some touchups to do. We bought this Mayfair toilet seat in January 2023 and we were completely satisfied with the product. The seat was easy to install and fit properly. The slow close motion was a welcome feature. In June 2023, the seat developed a thin line fracture. Gradually, the crack worsened and separated more. I contacted Bemis Mfg and enclosed a picture of the seat with invoice. They promptly responded and sent me a new seat within days. I love it when a manufacturer stands behind their product. Kudos to Bemis! They made a loyal customer for future purchases. ... show more

I have a 6 year old in the house that constantly slams the toilet which is loud and wakes up our other kid. We needed a slow close toilet seat and found this one. It was SO easy to install (5 min or less) and works great. It fits really nice too. Things are a lot quieter around here now!

    • You WILL need a wrench, NOT a screwdriver!

The media could not be loaded. This toilet seat is AWESOME! High quality enameled wood, round, white. All the things I wanted. I purchased a cheaper brand initially and that was a big mistake as the entire ordeal was horrible. So, I immediately jumped on Amazon and bought this one instead. I had already tossed my old toilet seat. I needed a replacement ASAP. Luckily, Amazon made good on their one-day delivery promise and I got this seat delivered the next afternoon less than 16 hours later. Very happy! It is VERY sturdy, has a soft close feature, is super easy to clean, has a nice design, and looks great once installed. The best part about this toilet seat is that it is PERMANENTLY TIGHT. I can’t stand it when toilet seats start to loosen and shift around so you have to tighten them again and again. Well this one is completely different, and they mean when they say it won’t EVER loosen. The only way I could see this seat loosening is if the securing screw breaks, which is highly unlikely. As we all know, toilet seats don’t last forever. So how, you might ask, can you replace this seat if the sucker is permanently attached, hmm? Well that’s another cool feature! Just pop onto Amazon here and buy another of this exact seat. If you’re like me, you’ll buy several so you have them for future replacements in case of discontinued manufacturing. The seat has these little lever type things that you just slide open and the entire top of the seat will slide right out of its grooves! Kind of like taking a door off its jamb. This is also how you’d clean and sanitize the entire seat in an ergonomic manner, rather than bending over the bowl to do it. Your replacement seats you purchased would work the same since it’s the same model. Just pull off the top half from the unlocked position and install onto the toilet. The portion of the old seat that remains is only the securing screw… still super tight and clamped down. The inventor of this seat was a mad genius! I’ve never seen one like it but it’s definitely the ONLY seat I’ll buy going forward! READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! You WILL most definitely need a wrench of some sort to install this seat, NOT a screwdriver like most other types. The securing screw has to be tightened down enough on the underside of the toilet so that half of it literally snaps off which is how it becomes locked in place permanently. Only way to tighten it enough is with a wrench. Socket wrench recommended. This seat is NOT installed like typical seats, so pay close attention to how the arrows on the bolts face, which end of the snap screw to use, etc. I almost installed my seat upside down but caught it just in time. This is an important step because remember once the set screw is tightened and snaps off, it’s gonna be difficult/impossible to correct an alignment, orientation or position error. So go slow and get it right the first time. If installed correctly, it will fit perfectly and soft close like my video shows. Enjoy :) 12/15/22 UPDATE: I’ve had this toilet seat installed for 1.5 years. Do I still love it and stand behind my 5 star review? ABSOLUTELY!! The seat is STILL, 1.5 years later, as tight as the day I installed it in May 2021. I love this thing!! The underside of the seat is just barely starting to show some wear/tear for obvious reasons, which after 1.5 years of daily use, tells me how high quality craftsmanship this seat really is. I’ve recommended this to everyone I know! You should buy it, love it like I do, and tell your friends :) ... show more
