I've been sleeping on this mattress topper for over 2 weeks now. It is more on the firm side which i was specifically looking for. I approve of it. It did have an odor when unpackaging. I removed the cover and washed it, stuck dryer sheets underneath the cover when i put it back on the mattress. The odor went away in a 3-5 days. I will say it got more firm on 2nd day i had it sitting out compared to just having it sit out 24hrs to shape. I would say there is no cooling effect. Great quality.

My fairly new mattress already had a 'dip' going on in the middle and was affecting my sleep. I went with the 4 inch to make sure there would be no more dips. This works perfectly. The firmness takes a little getting used to but I prefer a firmer mattress anyway. It does not slip at all. The covering has an all-around zip and it is machine washable. My fitted bottom sheet fits just fine around the corners too. Very happy with this purchase. No odor either. Slept on it the day it arrived.

Did not smell upon opening package. Exactly the size it states. It was fun to watch the foam grow as it expanded upon opening it. I consider this to be on the firm side of foam. We like firm so it's perfect for is. The pad cover is a very nice quality too. It has wide elastic that secures the topper to the mattress.

this is well made and worth the money if it wasn't so firm. I used it for 3 nights and tried to get used to it but ended up with body aches and pain. Had to take it off and put my old one back on; now I'm stuck with an expensive topper that I can't use and can't return. very heavy and impossible to handle. We bought this mattress topper for the mattress at our cabin. We just have a regular mattress, nothing special since it’s at the cabin and we don’t sleep on it every single day. My arms and shoulders started to go numb during the night, which wakes me from sleep. I also have back issues. My son suggested a mattress topper. I decided on the 4” topper with the topper case. Well let me tell you…I love to go to bed now. The quality is top notch. It came all rolled and vacuumed sealed in plastic in a box. You cut open the plastic and it comes to size after about 5 hours. The topper cover is nice quality and soft to the touch. It has elastics on each corner to hook under your mattress. The cover can zip off for washing. As far as the firmness of the topper…I would say it is firm. I have another brand of topper at home on our mattress there and it is also a 4”topper. The one at home I would classify as soft. I prefer the firm. Since having it, my arms haven’t fallen asleep at all. I get a much better nights sleep now. I would recommend spending the small amount of money and buying this topper.
