My son who loves all things Japanese, had wanted this style bed for years. Ordered it and it came quickly. Super light and fits in his small bedroom. He can roll it up for more space. He is 19 and 6ft. He fits on it perfectly. He says it makes his back feel better.

Great price for night of comfort. Purchased this to have when I have to give up my bed for a couple of days. I wouldn’t suggest for long term use. I only weight 138 so I’m not putting pressure in my body using this mat. This is a futon mattress and is exactly what I expected, if I wanted a traditional mattress I wouldn’t of got this. I’m in my thirties and was sleeping on a TWIN previously that caused back pain, couldn’t move, and my dog couldn’t fit with me. I got this as I’m not in a permanent position for a “real” mattress yet. However, switching from a twin to a full sized futon mattress my back pain has significantly gone away and my dog can sleep with me again. It’s a great temporary solution! I was a 2 year college student who didn’t have the money for a bed frame and mattress and thought “why don’t I just get a futon mattress?” If I could go back in time I’d just save up for the bed frame and mattress. It’s not complete junk, it’s just no where near as fluffy or as big as you’d think. I think in the description it says it’ll rise to about 4-6 inches but after I opened the package and let it do it’s thing for a few days, it sat about 2 inches off the ground in height. It’s a decent enough mattress topper though, just not what I’d use as the only line of defense before sleeping on the ground. ... show more

I grew up in Asia so I dealt with many futons and I’ve always liked them. My work requires me to move around a lot and lift a lot, so I’ve had quite a bit of pain in my back and knees. The comfort of the futon is pretty good, it’s not going to be as comfortable as a bed but I like it better. It has helped with my back pain and I no longer wake up in pain. It requires very little maintenance and doesn’t take much space, plus you can fold it and put it in your closet if needed.
