I needed a switch to automatically turn on a light when we go out to the garage, then turn off when we take the car out. We also make numerous trips to the garage fridge and trash/recycle cans. This little switch does exactly that and it was fairly easy to install. I tapped into a connection in the garage that was for the smoke alarm, adding a new LED light over the steps. The smoke alarm box had the black, white and ground wires I needed. I used a small piece of aluminum angle bracket to install it. The wiring was easy. All of the white (common) wires connect together (light, smoke alarm and switch), black wires (switch and smoke alarm), ground wire (light and switch) and the red wire went to the black wire on the LED light. I set the timeout for 10 minutes, sensitivity pretty high and ambient light to maximum because I always want the light to come on. ... show more

    • They are sturdy and they last a long time
So these motion sensors really last a while. Compared to the ones I used to own they are great! I would say the only downside is that you have to unmount it to adjust the settings for time and light. It would be great if they move those somewhere else

i installed this easily, replacing an older one that stopped working (different brand) and this new one is working great. i hated the last one having very poor time controls, allowing the light to stay on for a few seconds, not enough time to put coats away. but this one has great time control, and it works. thanks ... show more

    • Cheapest I’ve found but wires break easily. But you can fix em yourself
These are half the price of the Moberns I normally use but the quality control isn’t very good. So far, of the 12 I’ve bought, 3 have broken. The leads come loose or break at the terminal strip inside of the unit. They aren’t hard to fix but it’s annoying and if one breaks after I’ve left a job It can inconvenience my customer and make me have to go back and fix it. I’m an electrical contractor and I use a lot of these.They’re the least expensive I’ve found but if I have any more trouble with them I’ll look elsewhere. ... show more

This motion sensor is perfect addition to any highbay light. The detection range is wide as well as the set ON time. I would buy this product again.

Worked perfect for my application. Installed it on a light in our pantry because the light switch was out of reach when opening the door. Mounted next to the ceiling light, see the picture. Loved the ability to adjust motion sensitivity and time of light.

I purchased two of these motion sensors and they worked exactly as needed on high bay LED warehouse fixtures. I liked the fact that they would work either with 120 V or 277 V fixtures. The wiring instructions were very simple to understand.
