Just small enough to be portable but large enough that you aren't trying to balance a large amount of stuff on a tiny surface area it comes with a weigh tray that is well made so it feels like it will last and it is as big as the scale so you have no issues weighing. Plus the fact that the scale tucks into the tray for storage is a nice touch. The display screen is plenty bright and easy to read and it is calibrated from the start. Definitely worth the price.

This compact gram scale is jut what I needed to get accurate weights on small items, such as sterling silver jewelry, pocket watch cases and parts, etc. The scale limit is 500 grams, which is three times what I needed. I am very happy with it, and its ease of use. It also shuts itself off automatically so that your batteries don't go dead.

I really like this scale. It is nicely made, sturdy, and accurate. The size is great because it’s small enough to be portable. It's easy to clean, very easy to use and the digital display is easy to read. However, I have an issue with the design of the plastic case. It just sits over the top of the scale without actually attaching to it. If you try to pick it up and aren't careful, you end up just grabbing the case and the scale can fall out and break or become damaged. I'm giving it four stars because of the case design, but otherwise, it's a good product.

Incredible value. Used this for a community science training and it performed well. Be sure to pay attention to the units, however - the indicator letter for g, oz, etc are very small and easy to miss- several users confused g and oz in their measurements. An excellent product so far - hope it lasts. Ordering more of these for future training sessions!

great little pocket scale, very accurate and already calibrated straight out of the box. only 3 buttons, so it's super easy to use and has some decent weight to it as well - implying that it's extremely durable and could probably handle a few drops. there's also a lot of different ways to measure weight using this device, proving that it is also extremely versatile.
