with a bad back, pulling the cord several times to start the old engine was a real pain. I bought this so i can start by battery and no more pulling . it was a direct replacement for the old engine i added some gas and ( I did not buy a battery as i will only use the woodsplitter a dozen times before it's put up for the winter ) pulled the cord once and it started right up. easier than you could imagine. I have since used the splitter several more times and it always starts first pull. I will get a battery for next year. But for now it works so nice and my back is not stressed out trying to start it.

Engine works as it should , cheap as any harbor freight engine and the quality seems nice overall very happy with this engine and would recommend it . Put oil and gas in it and two pulls it started right up and ran for 10 hours straight on the wood chipper I installed it on.

Runs good so far. Used this to replace a 6.5hp kohler on my tractor supply wood splitter. Had to drill new mounting holes on splitter to be able to make room for electric starter.

Blew up on the first start yes I checked the oil before starting it. the box wasn’t damaged no damage to the motor before starting it. I would definitely go with the predator 212 instead, the rod went thru the block so yea definitely max speed rods 😭 but they refunded all the money without me returning it after I called the company and Amazon directly.

So far so good, was easy to install, started 2nd pull, has plenty of power. We bought this to replace our worn out 6hp on the go kart. I have it set to about half throttle with the pedal all the way down and it screams, even with an adult riding it. I do wish it came with a throttle that returns on its own or maybe ours was just super stiff. A simple spring from the end of the lever to the recoil case took care of that problem. All in all, quite impressed with this thing, now lets just hope it can handle all the kids abuse (and some of dads)😂😂

Put this engine on a Troy Built Bronco tiller, as the original engine gave up the ghost. I couldn’t believe how easy this replacement worked, some minor fabrication was done. The original bolt holes were the same, and importantly the crank shaft key way was identical,the bolt thread pattern was exactly the same. Filled oil,gas, turned the switch to run,one pull for choke and one pull for start and varroom. Runs great has more spunk than the old one. No issues, will only run this with premium gas no ethanol ever. Really well packaged, buy it, won’t be disappointed, in Kansas
