Engine works as it should , cheap as any harbor freight engine and the quality seems nice overall very happy with this engine and would recommend it . Put oil and gas in it and two pulls it started right up and ran for 10 hours straight on the wood chipper I installed it on.

I recently picked up the maXpeedingrods 15HP 420cc Gas Engine to replace a worn-out motor on my log splitter, and I’ve been pretty impressed so far. Right out of the box, the build quality felt solid. It has a 1-inch shaft with a 1/4-inch keyway, which fit my setup perfectly. Performance-wise, this engine is a beast. The 15HP output provides more than enough power for my needs, whether splitting logs or running a go-kart. The electric start is a huge plus—no more yanking on a pull cord endlessly, especially on cold mornings. It fires up quickly and runs smoothly with minimal vibration. Fuel efficiency is decent for an engine of this size, and the four-stroke OHV design helps with longevity and reliability. It’s also relatively quiet compared to similar engines I’ve used. I haven’t had any overheating issues, and the cooling system seems to do its job well. The only downside is that the instructions aren’t the best, so if you’re not familiar with small engines, installation might take a bit longer. Also, it’s on the heavier side, but that’s expected for a 420cc motor. Overall, this is an excellent replacement engine for go-karts, log splitters, compressors, and other equipment. It delivers strong power, starts easily, and runs smoothly. At this price point, it’s a great value! Pros: ✅ Powerful 15HP output ✅ Electric start works great ✅ Smooth and reliable operation ✅ Good fuel efficiency for its size Cons: ❌ Instructions could be better ❌ A bit heavy, but expected for a 420cc engine Would definitely recommend this for anyone needing a high-performance replacement engine!
