Needed a slight modification to attach the fuel line. Had to re-bend it slightly to match the higher carb. Foot feet linkage, throttle cable and choke work great, I did need to re-route the spark plug wires so the linkage would not hit them. Minimal adjustment to the idle speed and air mixture. The filter to horn was the same as the original, but did need to use the old one. Would be nice if the carb came with a new one. So far, I am super happy with this carb and recommend to anyone with the older CJ5. Mine is a 1964 with only 20K original miles. ... show more

WAS TOTALLY IMPRESSED AT HOW WELL THIS IS MADE AND THAT IT BOLTED ON, ENGINE STARTED RIGHT UP AND ONLY A SLIGHT ADJUSTMENT TO THE AIR FUEL MIXTURE AND THE IDLE WERE NECESSARY.

Unfortunately, it did not work right out of the box. After installation on my ‘69 CJ-5, it cranked up and ran for a few seconds before dying. I could not get it to restart and run no matter what I tried. I checked idle, fuel/air mix and nothing worked. I eventually decided to remove it from the Jeep and disassemble to see what the issue was, since I noticed there was no fuel stream when accelerating. After removing the float bowl cover and float, I noticed the issue right away. There was a random guide pin at the bottom of the float bowl that was disrupting the fuel level in the bowl. I removed it, put it back together, reinstalled and it worked great. The guide pin was the same type that goes between float bowl cover and bowl, yet all were in place. So it was an extra. Once I got it adjusted and warmed up, I noticed improved performance and acceleration response right away compared to old carb. ... show more

It has no choke or throttle up like factory. It is made for a Mahindra jeep. Will not work on an American Jeep and it has no paperwork or instructions in the box
