  • Grandkids love them
Size: Twin/Twin Color: White
Took about 4 hours for my wife and I to assemble, but we made two mistakes that required going back a few steps each time. Follow the directions exactly. Like all foreign-sourced unassembled furniture it's pictures but no words in the directions. A power drill/screwdriver and a rubber mallet is a big help. Sorting all the parts prior to starting saved time. We bought the white set, and the paint finish is smooth with no thin or unpainted spots. All parts fit together well except for one. One of the holes for the metal pins that join the two beds was not drilled deeply enough. The grandkids loved them when they came for Thanksgiving. ... show more

  • Wouldn't purchase again due to stability/sturdiness
Size: Twin/Twin Color: White
I'm 5'9", 145, and I don't feel overly safe on the top bunk. I get up there to make the bed and it wobbles more than I'd like. Overall I'd recommend these bunk beds. They're a good product for the price, came quickly, and were only moderately difficult to assemble (ask my husband lol). The bed has a nice small footprint, and the bottom bunk isn't too high for my 4-year-old. My 6-year-old can get up and down from the top bunk easily, but I definitely say goodnight standing on the ladder because I'm imagining my baby on the bottom being squished if I get up there and it's just too much for me to handle lol! Is this a bunkbed thing, or is this a THIS product thing? I'm unsure, but either way, not risking it. ... show more

  • Very nice looking and great value, with IMPORTANT but non-fatal flaws
Size: Full/Full Color: Espresso
My review addresses the quality of construction, and how to remedy the flaws. I would not install this in a rental property; get a metal frame bunk bed instead. OK at home or a vacation home. This is made from New Zealand pine. A good solid wood with few cosmetic flaws. The wood is brittle, which contributes to the structural failures described by reviewers. Very nice finish but with some odor that takes a few weeks to dissipate. It is NOT toxic, as claimed by some reviewers. I purchased the full over full, with twin trundle. First, the assembly takes a good amount of time, 6-8 hours minimum to do a good job, without the modifications described below. Second, the assembled bunks were very solid without any play (unlike other reviewers). You MUST fully and firmly screw in the hardware to achieve the rigidity. The head of the hex head screws sits below the level of wood. Some fasteners required quite a bit of torque to fully engage, ultimately twisting the metal of the supplied hex-wrench. Be meticulous, but be sure to not over-tighten. The trundle construction quality is crap. Far weaker construction with inferior doweled joints in comparison to the bunk. Now about the flaws. Reviewers describe 2 major failure points: 1. Fracture of the slats under the mattress. 2. Fracture of the longitudinal frame rail across the lower bunk. Here is how I addressed these failure points: 1. I added 6 1x4 tight knot pine slats between the supplied slats. Add these before screwing down the supplied slats. I think 1x3 would be fine or preferable, but my lumber yard doesn't stock this dimension. I stapled the slats to the strap interconnecting the supplied straps, but did not screw them to the side rails to allow a bit of flexion. This looks and feels REALLY solid. 2. I added to the longitudinal front side frame rail a zinc plated steel flat plate 1" wide, 1/8" thick, 72" long purchased at Lowes. I didn't add this to the back side rail since the weight causing the failure will be on the front side. Be sure to leave a gap between the slats and the frame rail to accommodate insertion of the flat plate. Attach to the side rails with 12 round head wood screws, #10, 3/4" long. Drill 7/32" holes in the steel flat plate, 1/8 " in the wood rail. Prior to attaching the flat plate, the side rail had a subtle but real deflection with my weight; I can understand why this would fail. After attachment of the flat plate, I could detect zero deflection, solid as a rock. 3. The trundle is hopeless. I glued the dowels and added slats to the mattress support. If it lasts a year I'll be thrilled. ... show more

  • Perfect for transitioning.
Size: Twin/Full Color: White
I love this bed. We are transitioning our tiny toddler who is 18 months to a big girl bed. She is a crazy sleeper. She moves and she sprawls. We knew we wanted a twin for her but we also wanted a bunk bed. I did the twin over full and both my girls are so happy. I plan to put them in the same room as soon as I can trust the 1 year old on the top bunk. I love the weight limit as I am 250# like other reviewers have said it sometimes seems like it isn’t study because of the gap in the wood rails. But I do have confidence it’s just fine. I bought two 5” mattresses and put in a nice mattress cover. It’s been comfortable to lay in both beds. I am very happy for this purchase. I saw a comment that the side rail felt loose. I constantly climb over the side. I do agree it has some wiggle but it’s still very sturdy. Just great quality. ... show more

  • Looks Great, BUT…
Size: Twin/Twin Color: White
The packaging came in fine and no issues with delivery. Two things I observed during the set up, the tools and screws are all poured under one bag and manufacturer gave the consumer to figure out what screw to use, which is really annoying. Most of the sellers are actually naming the screws and tools with the package. Secondly, the wood support and few screws were missing. I had to get them from Ace store. After the set up, the bed was excellent. It is little wobbly. ... show more

  • Looks great! My kids love it
Size: Twin Color: Espresso
My kids love their new beds. They are sharing a room, so I bought them matching ones. The beds look amazing in the room, comfortable and stylish. My husband put them together, so can't tell how hard it is, but since he didn't complain, I assume it was fine.

  • Twin over full bed
Size: Twin/Full Color: Blue
Instructions could have had written directions to go along with the illustrations. Top bunk was missing holes for outer planks pins to mount into. Had to drill the holes myself. Overall seems to be a good bed for my 2 sons.
