  • Palm protection
Color: Black Size: Large
These are great for lifting weights and pretty much any work or activity where you're being rough on your hands. Fit is comfortable and the velcro strap provides extra support for the wrist. These would be good for skateboarding.... if you fall off your board you can put your arms out to break your fall without worrying and skinning your hands up nasty with asphalt. ... show more

  • Good work out gloves
Color: Black Size: Medium
I lift 6 days a week. I own over 10 pairs of Mava gloves- all different colors. I like this style as it leaves my hands open, to breathe while still protecting my palms. I like the wrist straps and overall glove. I wear a size medium, I'm 5'4. Sometimes the palm length is slightly short, depends on the model you get. The gloves used to be made in Pakistan, now made in China. ... show more

  • Better than most
So I waited a while to write this review because I’ve bought gloves before which I thought I liked but they always had downfalls later. I needed gloves for weight training and crossfit type workouts. I often blend weight lifting, kettlebell, and pull ups with burpees and/or pushups and had a hard time finding gloves that would protect my palm without getting too sweaty and that had some grip on the palm to reduce slipping when doing burpees. These work great! They offer protection without a lot of bulk when lifting and are easy to put on (They have right/left hand indicators) and take off. The wrist strap should offer stability if your need it. I also run Spartan obstacle courses and I think these would work really well in that type of situation. There are two things that could use some improvement. I found I might need a larger size, I ordered a small. The palm padding fits well but the finger slots are a bit snug. After working out for a while it starts to bother me and I might remove them for a bit as the start to pull down on the webbing in between my fingers. The other issue I found is that they are not “sweat free” as they do get damp after a workout. I also bought the lime color which is really great, except after about a month of use the green is pretty dirty. I would love to wash these, but don’t know if throwing them in the washer would be ok. ... show more

  • Great product; highly recommend
I only used these one time so far, but I loved them immediately. It's very difficult for a woman to find a good pair of training gloves, and these were perfect for a few reasons. Firstly, I love the style. I ordered the blue, and I'm tempted to get another color. Really just love that they are cool and stylish. Now to the most important order of business: function. I have tried multiple pairs of training gloves, but none were quite what I needed. When I first realized I needed gloves, I was hard-pressed to find anything in sporting goods stores for women that was actually functional. Pretty sad, but the selection is almost a joke. I opted to buy a pair of men's gloves in a size small, but they just were not cut for a woman's hand and ended up hurting me and being very counter-productive. Back to the drawing board, I found a pair of women's gloves that were more acceptable than the others - a pair of Harbinger gloves. I don't have the smallest hands, since I am taller than the average female, so I liked that the back of the glove was stretchy and somewhat cut out. This was helpful in terms of not restricting my circulation when gripping weights. Unfortunately, the grip on those gloves still was not the best (cloth), and they provide no wrist support when I lift heavier weights. I train pretty hard, so these Mava gloves solve ALL of my issues. I get good grip, no constriction since there is no backing on the glove, and wrist support. My only regret is that I didn't find these sooner. ... show more

  • Palm grips are stiff.
Color: Black Size: Medium
Not very comfortable at all. I didn't even use these, I tried them on and knew immediately I didn't like them as the palm grips didn't have a lot of flexibility.

  • Best gloves but......
I bought these gloves for myself because I do Crossfit and my hands kept ripping open from pull-ups etc. Two other people at my box had these gloves and I was able to try these on during a WOD before purchasing them. Out of all the gloves I've owed these are by far the best. I originally purchased the gloves June of 2016 and use them almost every time I'm doing Crossfit. Now the down side. I've had these for 5 months and as of today both gloves started to tear while doing bar muscle ups. Another issue I've had is that the hook and loop (Velcro) started going bad about a month ago. I have to really grind the hook and loop together so they don't come undone. I would like to be as fair as I can and give these gloves the benefit of the doubt because I've really used them for everything, including rope climbs, kettle bell swings, monkey bars, rings, pull ups, and so on. We also recently got a new rig in our box and the bars are not as smooth as our old one. With all of this said, I'm hoping this Christmas my wife will get me a new pair. ... show more

  • Love!!
I have very small hands and it was hard to find a good pair of gloves to heavy lift with. I purchased a pair of XS and I love them! I would highly recommend!

  • Great Gloves for palm and wrist support
These gloves have a dual function being palm support as well as a wrist wrap. I purchased these gloves because the callouses on my hands were starting to get too painful and uncomfortable to do certain rowing and pushing movements with dumbbells and and barbells. The fact that they also are also a wrist wrap is a bonus so I thought I was getting a good deal with these gloves since I didnt own wrist wraps before. My first impression taking them out of the package is that they seem to be high quality which is not surprising since Mava is a good brand. The material is thick and durable and there is good padding and grip on the palm portion. I just used it for shoulders and they worked well when I needed them. They should be extremely helpful when doing rows and lat pulldowns where my callouses cause the most discomfort when doing the exercise. All in all these are good gloves to use to allow one to lift heavier without callouses getting in the way. Again, it is great that they also are a wrist wrap. I realize now how important it is to wrap all your joints when lifting to prevent injury. Also, I should mention that these gloves come in several colors which is great too. Not a bad price either. 5/5 rating easily. ... show more
