I'm so thrilled that the double size fits just right. This thing is solid and sturdy. I love the grey wood. I put it together myself. Although it took me a while, it was easy. They provide a small Phillips head screw driver in the hardware, but I felt that using a drill worked better for most steps. It holds so many shoes and I love the top display area. This cabinet has worled out great for us. We were able to assemble it in a few hours, it is thin and fits in our narrow entry hall very well. The only drawback is the space for larger shoes. We had to cut a shelf insert down to allow space for my husbands sneakers. (Size 11, think Vans style, some hightops) while that will work for us with the alteration, make note of that if you are expecting this cabinet to hold lots of adult sized shoes. It took about an hour to put it together, the box contains everything you need, but I used a drill to make it a quicker job. It looks great and fits the shoes nicely. I bought this for our entry way and it works great. I have larger feet (my shoes are men's size 13) and they fit fine. Not much room to spare but it worked. It has adjustable slots in the drawers so it worked perfectly for my shoes on the bottom and my daughters toddler shoes on the top. The assembly was easy. Everything was well packaged. Such a great solution for shoes at the door and it looks great! It was pretty easy to put together. My husband wear size 13 shoe so we had to take the middle divider out of one of the drawers so his shoes would fit. We did not have to secure it to the wall. Our shoes are on the lighter side and its just me and my husband at home so we are gentle opening and closing it. Despite looking good, being very functional, and saving extra space, I had to take one star for cheap material (particle board with sticker laminate) and because not all my size 11 shoes fit in the rows without being squished some or not allowing the drawer to close even after adjusting the middle row to the most spacious position.
