I bought this for use for one week (I knew the bed I'd be using was really uncomfortable, even for only a week). It was fine - I was pleasantly surprised! It created a little bit of buffer between my middle-aged hips and the really uncomfortable bed. I was able to sleep, fall asleep, stay asleep. Would this work for, say, a college student who's on those awful dorm beds for 9 months...? Maybe not so well - - foam might be better for someone who needed to sleep on it for longer.
