Thought the gel could help, but still too warm for me. I'm keeping for winter, maybe then I can sleep with it. I put it under my mattress till then. Or if my other bed wears out, I'll use it on that one. No smell, nice quality. Recommend for non hot sleepers who need it for pressure points. That worked for me.

This was a great purchase. Very comfortable. Medium firmness. Helps us sleep better on our 8 year old mattress that had some weak spots. Had a bit of a smell when we first opened it, but have not smelled anything since letting it air out and "fluff" up. I bought this item on the premise that it was a cooling mattress topper. It’s not. It’s just a normal, very comfortable & supportive mattress topper. It seems durable, it retains its shape & is easy to spot clean if necessary. I knocked off a star for that reason the blatant lie about it being a cooling topper.
