After washing (gentle cycle) there was no small, the fabric was soft and comfortable. One seam opened up along a 3" portion (costing them one star on this review) but was fairly easily fixed. We've had this for a couple of months now and got our mattress topper at the same time. Either the cover or combination of both are not cooling. Once the summer months hit, it has been too hot for my husband. Might be in search of a better cover option soon.
