Installed it yesterday then it broke on first use when pulling a downed limb out of my yard after a storm snapped it off a tree. My 4 wheeler was on wet muddy ground and didn't even pull out of its spot. If it can't pull a limb without puling the 4 wheeler what's the point? How is it going to rescue a stuck machine? The free spin lock cap broke off.... not the rope which I would expect to break long before the winch housing. ... show more

Took an hour and a half to install on my utv. This wench is very strong. I was surprised the pulling power it had. On a straight pull it is very good. On a double pulley it is very strong. Oh and it looks good also. Great price.

The remote control doesn't work, but more importantly, I tested pulling a 40 lb sandbag and the winch struggled with it. My other 1500 lb winch also mounted on the truck easily outperformed the Nilight 3500 lb winch. Update: Nilight sent me a new remote control system for the winch. I haven't installed it yet. The nylon winch rope was binding the motor because it rewound unevenly, causing the winch to struggle. Installed a pulley to keep the nylon rope more in-line with the drum, so now the winch is pulling better. ... show more
