Precision and Safety
Easy to use and very accurate. I would not have needed nine stitches in the ends of my first two fingers if I had this device a few years ago. I highly recommend this for peciison thin ripping and safety.

Well-built for the Skil 6300, but the scale logic is backwards
This fit well on my red Skil 6300 series jobsite table saw. I have been wanting a thin rip jig for a while, so I was looking forward to getting this installed and going. Mechanically, it seems very good. It has three grippy metal rollers that rotate unidirectionally for stock control, which helps with kickback prevention. It locks positively and easily into the miter slot on my saw. The white-on-black scale is easy to read, and all the adjustment knobs work well. It has both metric and imperial scales for all woodworkers, which is a nice touch. My one real frustration is that the scale seems backwards; it really ought to have zero at the tool. As it is set up now, I can set the scales to 4 inches = 0 (zero meaning the roller is touching the saw blade). But then when I go to make a thin rip, say 1/4 inch, instead of moving to 4 1/4, I have to move to 3 3/4. That is simple enough with a common fraction, but if I want a 1 and 3/32 inch rip, calculating the setting becomes a chore. It would be much more intuitive to move to a higher number rather than subtracting from the base setting. The metric scale has the same issue, though it is a bit easier to manage. I found it’s pretty easy to just set 100mm as my zero point and work from there, since metric math is always a bit more straightforward. It is a well-built tool, but you will need to stay sharp on your mental math to use the built-in scale accurately if you don't want to use a secondary ruler.
