    • Who knew steak knives could be so beautiful!
This set of gorgeous steak knives from Material is nice enough to leave out on the counter. In fact, it comes with a beautiful little wooden knife block that you can use to store/display your knives. The block is ingeniously designed so that it can lay flat (knives parallel to the counter) or upright like a traditional knife block. Such a great little feature that I hope people figure out! I've been keeping mine out on my counter to show them off, and my friends have already commented on how cool they look. I've had a set of Material chef's knives and other tools for years now and was very glad to add these beautiful steak knives to my dinnerware collection. The handles aren't the same color as the handles of my Material chef's knives, but the colors of all of their knives are so complementary that they go together even if they don't match. My chef's knives are the ivory color, which is kind of like a light beige or off-white. And the set of steak knives I got are more of a gray with a tiny hint of blue. The second you hold these knives you'll appreciate the high quality. The finish is to die for, and they're dishwasher safe! My old steak knives were nice wood handles, but that meant you couldn't wash them with the other utensils in the dishwasher, which always drove me nuts. These knives are very nice. Looking very sharp. Got a good feel to him. The only reason I'll give it four stars is that the wooden knife holder is built a little cheap and they don't sit in them quite evenly. But other than that, the knives are excellent. Definitely well made deputy worth it

After using the same cheap serrated knives for years I decided to upgrade. I did not know how much struggle it was cutting food items until I got the Material steak knives! They have a good balance in your hand and are easy to wash. Although they do say dishwasher safe I hand wash to keep the edge nice for as long as possible. The wooden holder is a nice touch but it holds the knives in sloppy. I would have liked them to be in there a bit more sturdy as they flop around. ... show more
