I have 2 Akitas, both 8 months old (Sisters). They would INHAIL their food, like it was a race or something. They would be sucking in so much you caould see their ribs. This slow feed bowl is doing its job. They eat their food 10x slower and the chance of them bloating has decreased now. The colors help be able to seperate who is who. They clean extremely well in the dishwasher and hold up to the heat. Now I will saw for dogs with a powerful jaw, they do damage the plastic a bit, bit I do have akitas. Definitly would recommend and for the price, would get it again should the dogs accidently destroy it.

Listen when I say my dog just swallowed her food, she just swallowed it! My hubby and I both work full time jobs and aren’t home for usually 12 hours a day, our pitty would literally eat so fast that she’d started to develop a digestion problem! We were recommended that we start feeding her smaller portions or try a feeder that only drops out small portions at a time (these machines are expensive fyi) so we needed another option, we saw this and decided to give it a try…GAME CHANGER! It’s so easy and the quality is perfect, it’s plastic so our pup doesn’t get any rashes from metal. It sits flat on the floor and it provides the perfect amount of obstacles to create a slow eating habit. After months of use she loves it and eats so much slower (no more upset tummy phew!) The only issue I have is with how difficult it is to clean the bottom, I wish it had a completely flat plastic bottom so that it wouldn’t collect so much dander look at the picture, I just washed it and we have hard water so it’s not dirty.

This product is amazing for puppies starting off on solid food. I got the pink and turquoise, but it’s not really a turquoise. It looks more of a slate blue to me which I was a little bit disappointed in the color, but that doesn’t take away from the functionality. The main thing I would suggest with this item is having a better bottom to this bowl. I say this because the rubber nonslip feet on the bottom once the bowl is flipped, with five puppies it’s not hard to do, they are able to pull the rubber pieces off and that scares me. At this price point it’s amazing! It’s a perfect size too!! Not too small and not too big!!

I got these slow feeders because my dogs were basically inhaling their food, especially my younger one. It was getting to the point where they’d eat so fast, they’d end up burping or just looking uncomfortable right after. Since switching to these, it’s made a big difference. They actually have to work a bit to get the food out, which slows them down and keeps them more focused during mealtime. After purchasing these my dogs seem more satisfied after eating. Super easy to clean too, which is a huge plus. If you’ve got fast eaters like mine, definitely worth a try. I honestly wish I got them sooner.

Great size for small dogs like An older Bichon. Our Havanese at 13 lbs is a good size. I like the size as it fits kibble and wet foods well. Our older dog has lost teeth, so the feeder is much easier for them to eat healthier without gulping food
