This is a great product. With some drawbacks: PROS - works w/ wet food - suction cups keep mats in place - came w/ a little spatula - dishwasher safe - slows down the feeding frenzy CONS - the texture is too deep - cats can't get to the bottom - food gunks up b/c they can't get it out - and these guys are tenacious...if they can't get it out, it's too deep or pockets are not big enough I know every cat is different - so it's difficult to find a happy medium, but I saw a similar product at Petco that had larger food wells, but were still deep enough to encourage slowing down & licking their food up. I wish I had taken a photo, it was shaped like a fish - not that that matters. BUT it did not have suction cups and it was way more expensive! I have a larger pittie who loves icy treats. This makes a great summer snack for him. I can mix peanut butter, yogurt, pumpkin, and/or sweet potato, pop them in the freezer and in a few hours he has a special treat he has to work at. These are a little smaller for large dogs but we make it work. I got the two pack and will be ordering more. We make the treat and leave them in the freezer for special occasions. Note to anyone with drooly doggos, I put his in a pan like a pie plate so if he makes a mess it isn’t everywhere. This thing grips like crazy and will not go anywhere.     • Dogs love it but can't get 100%
I've been putting yogurt and some fruit on it and freezing it for my pups for the summer. and they absolutely love having their frozen treat, unfortunately they can not get 100% of the yogurt off of it but can get like 95% of it, the rest i have to use my nails to get out as the sponge cant get into those hard to reach places. I would absolutely buy again as my dogs love it and it keeps them occupied for a while. The suction of it is great, literally sticks to everything, my counters, sink when im washing it, and the tile when the pups are using it. But our youngest wiener will rip it off the tile and take it somewhere else so he can have it all for himself. ... show more

This has been the most coveted possession my dog has ever had is his 9 years! I do just want to throw a warning out there, to be very careful if you are using one of these mats for an anxious, food aggressive friend. My little dude is extremely protective of his new mat. Hoping to work on that with him so we can use it more often but for now we are only using it when he has anxiety or needs a nice long distraction. The first time we got it out he licked it for about an hour or more straight, and then proceeded to just sit, unmoving, and stared at it for like 4 or 5 hours. I wanted to see how long he'd stay like that but we ended up just putting it up after we realized he wasn't gonna move until he couldn't see it anymore. ... show more

My dog has to have a shampoo that takes 15 minutes of sitting on him. The peanut butter pad was WONDERFUL, it kept him busy the whole time . ! No crying or trying to jump out. I could even walk away for a second & he stayed right there, licking the peanut butter. Thank You!
