Compared to most locks this one is very average. They send you a random color and the one I received was blue. I use this for a locker lock at my gym. It’s pretty much just for looks not performance since just having a visible lock does most of the work of keeping people away (the reason I chose this lock); anyone who knows what they’re doing can break this lock relatively easily but for the price its definitely not a bad choice. We had Master lock directional combination locks on both out gates for our backyard. Loved them as you could do them in the dark, but they don't offer them anymore. So I had one like this on my medication lock box(a plastic ammo box) and liked it. So I bought 2 of these. I like the bigger shackles, easy to open, and fit in our latches. You just have to put them on in the one direction so numbers are right side up. I don't like you can see the combination after opening it because it has to be there to lock it back on. ... show more

We have a bunch of this for our program Tab-in/Tag-out at work so I bought this for my gym locker. Easy to set and easy to see the number. Sure, it is not an ultra-tough, high-security lock like the other style, but it works to prevent thief of opportunities.😀 I also use this to lock my gate at home. As I get older I find things with larger type makes things easy for me. This combo lock has large numbers. It also is set to a combination that I choose. This makes it much easier to remember it. It comes in random colors. (no choice) I use it at the gym. I don't have to worry about a key or forgetting the combo number and not being able to see the numbers on the dial. My 11 year old has the hardest time working old school combination locks. This works great and he loves being able to set his own combos. My 13 year old has one he's used for 4 years now. Still works great. He changes up the code frequently. Love these locks.
