I have the hipo in my car absolutely love it this little guy is for my home theater I'm running it at around 500rms the sub definitely wants little more I replaced a 25$ hifonics speaker that blew after a few months it seamed extremely tight at first but after a hour of playing it has allready loosened up a bit it hits the lows unimaginably better than the hifonics this sub has a very flat frequency response which Is rare for a low priced sub and good if you want something that not just shakes but sounds good not surprising hopefully it loosens up quite a bit more if not I really wish they would of used a looser soround and spider but for the money can you complain it's definitely better than the kicker comp r I've had the build quality and weight attests to this I imigine if they let it be not so tight it would be a lot more efficient but for the money I cannot complain I definitely recommend a ported box this sub is much to tight for a sealed box also I had trouble sealing the box with the robber ring so I took it off ... show more

These speakers slam! For a budget speaker they are great. I purchased these gtx124s to replace some Rockville w12kd64 V2 600w rms subs. They are way better than the Rockville subs. The Rockville always had a burning smell and sound like garbage. I have a Q bomb horn vented box with a pioneer 9701 mono amp. With this setup you will not be disappointed. Update: been pushing these for a while now. Whoever says you can't put 700rms to these, is clipping it. They probably have bass boost maxed on amp with a bass knob maxed with the amp gain way to high. Probably dropping voltage under 12v and God knows what else ... show more

This sub hits hard !deep smooth tone,and its not even in the correct box.i just put it in the one I had.sounds excellent. I can just imagine when I build it one thats made for it.Recomend and it wasn't ridiculously expensive. Very affordable.

They hit pretty hard. I have a Acoustik 6000 watt amp and they do rattle. Surprised me the 1000 watt MMA MASSIVE 12" don't even come close these are the one I should have brought first.

Literally one of the few times where I feel I got too much sub for the money spent, this thing absolutely destroys my kicker comp r12 and previous alpine type r12’s in terms of cone excursion, quality, and loudness. This thing is absolutely fantastic for the money.
